Golden Eye Tactical-Steel Handguard Bipod Adapter Sling Stud

Works great with my keymod rail with no modifications. I slid it into place and screwed it down tight (not too tight or else you will dent your rail on the backside) and made sure it was perpendicular to the rifle and attached the bipod. Simple piece with a simple install. I will post pictures of it later.

I installed over the heat shield, removing heat shield and installing on handguard didn’t allow the adapter to seat and secure properly.

Installed in Busmaster A2. Tip: remove heat shield from handguard interior, install stud, replace shield. Works quite well.

Simple, Does the job.

You will need a few tools; drill, 5/16" drill bit, approx. 3/4"wood chisel or Dremel, epoxy if you like. Installed on a mini-14 with wood stock. The stud was a little long, 1/16". You can grind it down or add another spacer (I used a white spacer from a previous stud kit). Very solid mount, well made, highly recommend.

I bought this so I could use a bipod on my Smith and Wesson Sport 15. I first had to drill out some washers to shim it out, 2 to be exact, so it wouldn't rattle. Then it still wasn't long enough to except the pins of the bipod. And when I went to unscrew it it broke. Lesson learned. Back to Brownell.

I don't know if this sling stud was specifically intended to work with an A2 GI handguard, but it couldn't work any better. I couldn't be more impressed in this application. I didn't even have to modify the heat shield. It came with a plate/ washer to put on the outside and sandwich the plastic of the handguard. The plate fit perfectly and the plate on the inside even has cutouts that don't block the holes in the handguard. I don't know if the handguard would stand up to the abuse of attaching a sling here, but I think it'll hold up fine for attaching a bipod. Couldn't be happier.

I bought 2 of these. I installed one on my M4 hand guard in under 2 minutes. The other I did some modifications and installed on my Cetme 308. I've had them to the range and they work perfectly.
