The tool works by realigning the very fine edge of the blade and polishing the blades surface.

Have been using fine grit abrasive paper
Have been using fine grit abrasive paper, extra extra fine diamond stone, 12k grit water stone, Veritas sanding belt.... eventually only this give me the awe. All above, especially Japanese water stone, produces superb results, but none of them are as effective and as efficient than this. Was suspicious to what kind of compound I would get and if it is fine enough to produce the hair splitting sharpness, since all end users like me can tell from the selling product is colors: green, brown, white, red, etc.It works amazingly fast and satisfying, I no longer need to stop from working on the dovetails, wet the stone, sharpen the blade, wipe the moist away for ten mins and return to figure out where I left off.

This is a good add to the arsenal.
I think this a very nice combination. I'd say on first impression, the piece of leather is of good quality however, it seems a bit short based on other fixed leather strops I've seen, I might have preferred it 12" long rather than 8" but, I knew it's length when I bought it so, no real disappointment there. I wanted to use the smooth side however, the company embossed its name on that side so I decided to glue that side to my wood backer and use the suede side instead. I can't say there's benefit from one side or the other, in use the suede side along with the green compound is easily producing a highly polished cambered edge just as it's supposed to. Truth be told, I only purchased this little combo as an experiment and a minor convenience. I've been using a Tormek grinder with it's stropping wheel for well over 20 years and it produced the highly polished bevel I want but, it's also not always convenient to use, like if I'm on a job and want to refresh a chisel or plane iron. Enter this little hand stop which also produces the polished bevel I want, where and when I need it. I'd buy another one and more if the green compound.

Not the best grade leather
Not the best grade leather, but it is ok. I glued mine to a paddle that I carved for it. The green crayon is standard honing stick. Pretty much medium to fine honing, but not super fine. Overall, I am satisfied, and would buy again if needed. A decent budget leather for stropping after you have used a stone, or to touch up an edge, if you have not let it go to long.

Works, but it is a little short for what I wanted. Also, not being attached to something it is difficult to strop a knife on it easily. Attaching it to a piece of wood or something would work much better. The green compound goes a long way, so the small size works perfectly instead of the huge brick sizes I was about to purchase.

Simple but effective. Have never used a strop before and the price was right. Heavy duty leather and plenty of compound. It is almost scary how sharp you can make a knife with this. Note-I'm not sure you could sharpen a dull knife with this but it takes an reasonably sharp knife to an entirely new level. For the price, try it.

Great strop and compound. Very effective for honing that final edge.
This and a DMT red stone is all you need to make your knives razor sharp. Even really dull knives take just 30 swipes per side on the DMT red stone then 20 or so pulling strops on this leather with the green compound to create an edge that is strong and razor sharp.

Nice Hone
Finishes blade off to a shaving keen edge. I use this after I finish with a 6000 grit waterstone. Good strap, without embossed logo on end (wastes an inch of hone) as with some strops. GAROS should sell a 10 or 11 inch strop here too!

Works like it should.
Well...it's a piece of leather that you use after sharpening to hone. My advice if you know anyone that works with leather, just ask them for a leftover scrap. But if you just want to buy one, this is good for the money.
