The edges are slightly distressed to give your sign a slight weathered feel, and the designs are applied using only the highest quality chalk paint. Our signs and other decor items are made from both new and reclaimed wood. There are beautiful knots, cracks, nicks, and holes that are untouched to preserve each piece of wood's natural character. This means that each sign is unique and one of a kind. Please note that some of our boards are not perfect brand new boards, keeping this in mind we do not use boards that will effect the integrity of the design/structure. All of our finished signs are sanded, hand stained, and hand painted. The wood underneath the paint may show through slightly in some places. They are also sealed with a clear coat to preserve them. All of our signs are made with top quality products. All of our signs are sealed with a protective finish so that it can be hung up outside and hold up to the weather. Your sign will also come with a sawtooth hanger. Each sign is carefully hand painted / stenciled for a rustic long-lasting look. No Vinyl is used. We do not cover or hide the natural dents and knots in the wood, as it adds character to your decor. However, each sign is sanded and stained to give it a nice, smooth finish. We pick only the best wood to work with.
