Two Story Cat Condo, Navy

Be aware that this is NOT a 2 shelf unit. The bottom, obviously, is a place for a cat to lay on, but the middle shelf is only 1/2 of a shelf. It's meant to climb through. It's made of inexpensive plywood with a cover that is not tight. Since it's meant to be able to wash the cover, it's loose, which my cats didn't like. Basically, you get what you pay for and since this is an inexpensive unit, it's just that.

Be aware that this is not a 2 story condo, it only has a half shelf on the second level. Color came in beige, not navy. Cheaper materials than I was expecting.

Beyond my expectations.

The picture makes this cat condo seem, well, just as the description says: two story. That is a lie. There is no second level. There is a half-shelf at the level of a top hole, which opens to the level below. Except for a small kitten, sitting on a very edge of that top hole, nobody else can make any use of it.Next major disappointment: material quality and construction. There is none. The box is made from compressed cardboard, exactly the same cardboard cylinders used to pour concrete in for cylindrical shapes: cheap and disposable. Carpet is of the worst quality I have ever seen. The only half-shelf is shaky, with carpet peeling off.This unit is an absolute utter junk. Complete waste of money, time, and frustration.

As a previous reviewer mentioned the top "story" is only a half shelf, my 10lb cat pretty much ignores it. The bottom it small for a cat my size so its not really living the purpose I was seeking it for. With that said, as soon as I plopped my cat on top of it, he started rubbing all over it and purring. He loves to sit on top and watch things. It alright for vantage point, not so good if they want something to hid in. My cat uses the box it came in to hide now.

It was not the color I ordered, and was too flimsy for my cat to use- when she jumped on it it wobbled unsteadily. The cushions are also only attached on one side, and flop out because they are unsecured. I returned it for a refund with no problems.

One, it's not navy, it's beige. Two, it's a very thin fuzzy removable cover over a hard solid wood condo. The cats won't go near it; they couldn't sharpen their claws on this if they tried. Going to stick to good old fashioned carpeted condos.

My 7lb cat knocked it over every time she jumped off it, it is just not heavy enough. Also, the idea of having a washable cover was great, but it's made of material that attracts and traps all the hair...forever.
