Allows you to make artsy pictures
I had my doubts on this diopter because I've never heard of this brand, and this was my first one but it actually works as advertised. Very fun to use if you want to create artsy photos (see sample images). The handle really helps when focusing with a manual focus lens (and also pressing the shutter button). It's not comfortable but its doable. Of course its even easier with autofocus lenses.Comes with a nice pouch and cleaning cloth. Also has a threaded hole (a small one, haven't tested it) so you should be able to attatch it to a small flexible arm or tripod. Tip: On my fuji's aspc sensor it only really works well with lenses 35mm and longer focal lenghts (50mm on full frame sensor). If you want to use it on wide or ultra wide angle lenses I think you'll need the 150mm version because the 79mm one is too small to cover any significant portion of the frame.

Super fun to use
Placing this in front of the camera allows me to see the effect as I am shooting. I can vary where I want the prism effect and it’s intensity. The 150 is large yet this is needed to get the desired effect.

Perfect for quick effects
I love jamming objects in front of a lens for character. This is no exception. While it is not a name brand, this cut glass prism works just as well as the expensive ones. I angled it In different ways a couple of inches from my lens to get really unique vignetting and lens blurs. Highly recommended.

As long as my arm
Really large split diopter and great for effects. Value for money this is great and I would totally buy this again.
