A great find!
I saw an ad for one of these and decided to go amazon to see if they had it at a cheaper price, which they did, and also to read reviews from other customers, I do not regret ordering this one bit.BEFORE FIRST USE: I noticed some reviewers mentioned a smell to it when using. It is very important to take this step before using for the first time; Preheat oven to about 325, place in oven on a cookie sheet with no food for one hour then allow it to cool. There is indeed a smell, but after this first time it is no longer there, so that takes care of that issue.Chicken: The first time using this after the initial treatment was chicken legs, it turned out great but I used a flour like mixture for coating, next time I will try it will shake-n-bake and see how that turns out.Turkey: What really impressed me was when I cooked a turkey on it, I prepared the turkey by washing it, patting it dry with a paper towel, coating it will olive oil, then seasoning it. I had the mat sitting inside a heavy duty pan (the same one in the picture), and placed the turkey on it, it baked to a beautiful brown all over and the meat was juicy and tender all over.Bacon: Now I get to the best part so far, cooking bacon on this. As you can see in the picture I uploaded, the bacon was cooked to perfection, with no splattering skillets to deal with, and I will get to the clean up in a bit. I set the oven to just shy of 400 degrees, but I did NOT preheat the oven, I put the pan in a cold oven then set the temperature. It took about 15 or 20 minutes, of course this part is personal preferences, I like my bacon as shown in the picture; well done but not brittle, just perfect to me, and of course oven temperature varies, just keep a close watch on it after about ten minutes until it gets to what you want it.CLEANING: Ok this part almost made me regret buying it, the first time I cleaned (after cooking the chicken), it was very tedious getting everything from all the nooks and crannies, then I took the advice of another reviewer and used a kitchen brush, and voila! That did the trick. Here is what I do, for instance after cooking the bacon you see in the picture. I let it sit and cool while I ate, then I took care of it while the grease was cool enough to handle without getting burned but before it solidified.I held it over the baking pan to get rid of the excess grease, then set it in sink, put some dish soap on it and ran some hot water over it. I used a kitchen brush with about medium tough bristles and scrubbed it all over the mat, it was so easy to clean this way, the brush easily cleaned the whole mat in less than a minute, then simply flip it over and do the same on the other side. I used this same cleaning method with the turkey and it came clean easily, then after rinsing I draped it over a drying rack with the bottom side down and it is good to go.CONCLUSION: I definitely recommend this mat, in fact I am thinking of getting another one to use in my toaster oven, which has a convection setting, this one is too big and I don't want to cut it, so the one I get next I will cut to fit my toaster oven.

Perfect for making dog treats!
This is wonderful! I use it to make little pyramid-shaped dog treats and it's just the ticket. I spread the batter in the triangular pockets, then scrape across the top with a rubber spatula. Once baked, the treats pop right out of the pyramid pan and cleanup is a breeze. For the price, this is a real winner!

not a replacement for the flat one
it can't handle even 400F! let alone the claimed 445F.I had one silplat flat one for years that I used in a small convection electric oven up to 500F with no problems. until I finally teared it.bought this one thinking it would be as good as the old flat one, but less prone to tearing like all the flat ones are.well, I cut it leaving half inch to each oven wall and bake it at 350F as instructed. ...and the kitchen fills with smoke as if things are on fire! smoke from silicone or the production process. I have no idea. but not going to breath it. kitchen in quarantine for hours...I think the worstr is past and try to bake it at 400F (because thats the temp I use for what I bought it). this time, besides the over own thermometer I place an analog thermometer on top of the mat. and sure enough, it smokes again as soon as the needle gets close to 400F. kitchens quarantine again. sigh.third time is the charm, rigth? there couldn't be any more industrial residue left I thought. but wrong I was. needle close to 400F (of yet another analog oven thermometer mind you) and here comes the toxic smoke.I use it now as a resting mat for spons. cant trust this garbage near the oven. or my food.

Get the flat ones for cookies and such. Pass on this one.
Extremely disappointed. I notice that nobody is admitting what a pain this thing is to clean. I have cooked on it several times. Last night was the worst. The gravy from the chicken seeped under the mat and burned the crap out of my cookie sheet. I have tried using a Kitchen Brush and it is a pain in the A** to clean.

I like this mat
I like this mat. I do wish the pyramids were solid instead of pockets as they are impossible to clean by hand. I don't have a dishwasher and the whole this is a bit tedious to clean by hand.

it was perfect. Yes
I've only used it once so far, and made dog treats rather than cooking meat -- but for my purpose, it was perfect. Yes, I washed it and "baked" it before using it -- made sense to do that. The dog treats cooked evenly and quickly, and were the perfect size. I don't think this will save me a whole lot money (making my own treats), but I can control her nutrition a bit better this way. (Lots of recipes online ... even a dedicated Facebook group!)

Easy to "cut to fit"
This works great. I cut it to fit a flat pan for my countertop convection oven. I especially like the crispiness of the egg roll I purchase.

Easy to cut to size
Worked very well. Make sure you bake it out before using it! Easy to cut to size. Cleanup? Drain the grease/fat from it while it's hot, if you can. It'll make the cleanup much easier. I washed it by hand since I really couldn't see how it was ever going to be washed properly in the dishwasher.
