Counseling the Nursing Mother: A Lactation Consultant's Guide 5th Edition

I ordered this book as required reading for my upcoming Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC) training, which is the first step in the process to become an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I am only in the early pages, but I like the book. It is comprehensive (covering everything from strategies for starting out as a CLEC and maintaining an office, to breast anatomy and diagnosing and addressing common breastfeeding difficulties). It is well-written and easy to read. A recommend!

I had to have this book while I was in school for breastfeeding education, and it helped me tremendously. I still use it if I have a question I don't know the answer to. It's definitely a must have for anyone working with breastfeeding mothers.

Overall, a good resource. However, sometimes difficult to find info needed and writing is very textbooky.

Very comprehensive reference book to help mothers

Although I only started reading it and can't say much about the content, I was happy that the book arrived in perfect condition with that great "New Book" smell. No complaints here. Thank you!

This is a fantastic, thorough and up to date book with the latest information available. I'm reading for BFUSA and would definitely recommend this as required reading for anyone interested in learning more about the complexities of breastfeeding.

I love this book. So dang interesting. I could read it over again easily. Glad I bought this one and not one of the others

Doesn't get better than this. Easier reference for those who are helping mothers. Been doing this 28 yrs and still learned different approaches to reach solutions.
