Street Guardian SG9665XS + 32GB, 1080p, Super Capacitor 12-24V Direct Input (32GB)

I've held off my review for the first few weeks to get to know the product, but I'm familiar enough with it now to give my review.I was not paid for this review, nor gifted the product. I purchased this based on the reputation of Street Guardian in the CamTalk forums as I was looking into what I wanted to purchase.I was looking into the SG9665GC and wishing there was a similar but simpler option when I came across this one.The main reason I honed in on these models were because of the capacitors used, which could really give this a chance to survive the heat that is sure to come in the summer. I'll have to wait on that to know the verdict for that, but I think it will do well. I'll update if it is otherwise.The second reason I went for this model is the reputation Street Guardian has for support. That I can attest to. I had a question when I got mine and reached out to them and got a response immediately. It was awesome. They even followed up. No robo-response. Real people interested in helping. They aren't just trying to cash in by buying pre-made chinese stock. They're designing and going after quality components.These guys care.Everything I needed was in the box and I had it set up in minutes. There are even two mounting options for if you want to suction it or use the tape option.The camera itself is about the size of a credit card and maybe as thick as my finger. Being all black helps it not stand out.The menu is easy to navigate. Simple intuitive controls.I like that I can change how long the display stays on for. I have it go off after about 30 seconds so that it doesn't become a distraction while driving.The quality of recording both during the day and night is very good. You can see some examples on their website that are accurate.My main goal was to find something easy to set up, was a reasonable price, could survive extreme heat, and record good quality video. I think this is a great little cam. I give it all five stars for delivering what it says it will.If you are looking for more features and a better image sensor, take a look at the SG9665GC. You can see they update constantly, improving the models and upgrading the firmware. For me, this little guy packed all the punch I need. If something happens in front of my car, it's gonna get it. I just hope it's something hilarious and not an accident.I'm very pleased with my choice.

I went ahead and got the Assurant 3 year warranty as well because I've had bad experiences with other dashcams in the past, but I think the capacitor will last a lot longer than the cheap lithium dashcam I had before.
