12 Charcoal Water Filters for PetSafe Drinkwell Avalon & Pagoda Fountains,

This is the first time I have purchased the 12 pack, typically I buy the 3 pack at the pet store. I am not sure why but these do not last as long, the water gets very nasty very fast. Also, I now have only once cat where I used to have 2. I expected that with fewer using the fountain it might stay clean longer. I was very wrong.

I am finding that I have to clean the Pagoda more often. I don't know if the filters have too much charcoal in them, so it cuts the water flow. I will swap it out for the Drinkwell brand.

Fits my cat's water fountain perfectly & so far, they've been without flaws. Still have many left to use. I like that I was able to purchase in bulk & not have to worry about filters for a while. Changing weekly is a good idea, as cat hairs & other "stuff" get trapped in them. My cat washes his hands in the fountain every day =^..^= so I need to keep the water clean, since both cats also love drinking from it.

The item was as described and shipped as promised. One of the filters was damaged and unusable. You may want to check the products before they ship.

No. They do not meet my expectations. After a couple of days the water flow through the filter drops to a trickle. It certainly not due to the water being dirty as I make a wholesale water change out every two days on the aerated cat water fountain.I may be over thinking this (being an engineer and in the water purification field) but it maybe because the carbon granules are too fine and they bed / nest too quickly and impede the flow through them.Any rate, as my cats just love the water fountain, my recourse is to just clean the unit and change the water frequently. Sans the charcoal filters.

Filters worked great so far. The only suggestion is run cool water through it before use to get rid of charcol dust. There is a bit more dust than the ones that come from manufacturer.

Worked half the time
