Works great for housing huge wasp nests...Not so great for bats.

I didn't think I was happy with the construction of this bat house when we first ordered it. It seemed to be missing some specifications mentioned online when I was researching bats and their preferred house. But we hung it anyway and sprayed it with Donaldson's bat attractant spray, also from Amazon. And holy cow, today we have bats. And not any puny bats, big fat juicy ones that I'm sure will make a meal of all these mosquitoes at our house. We live by a pond in the south. We will be adding more houses now that we know it really works. We spotted three flying around outside our house. Wonderful!

Cute bat house. Easy to hang, and it looks nice out there on the tree in the backyard. No evidence that bats have moved in yet, but I'm optimistic that they will come! Four stars for looks, ease of use, and quick shipping - will upgrade this to five stars when or if bats take up residence!

Delivery was fast! Construction is good. Was a little smaller than I thought but that's probably on me for not paying better attention to the dimensions. Good bat house for the money!

I believe I am going to love them - I bought 2. They are not hung on trees yet, so This is not a truly valid assessment of the product.

very nice design, the hook to hang or mount on the back to flimsy for the gusty winds. a nail point sticking through to the inside at the top. I will try to add a ball of puddy up there or glue.

Arrived broken and poor quality house.One thing I should have noticed looking at the photos is that the bat house has a little indoor hanging hook like the kind used for very light picture frames. I looked at so many online that I must have gotten them mixed up because when I ordered this, I thought it had pilot holes drilled through the wood to mount it securely outside. Not the case. I wouldn't trust that little base metal hook to stand up to the elements outside.

I haven't​ gotten to hang it up yet but I put a coat of tung oil on it and it looks great.
