Not as dramatic as enchromas but these can be used indoors. I also like the choice of styles. These are good for winter driving because they are not as dark as my enchromas. The case is interesting.

These glasses are incredible! I got them for my boyfriend for Christmas. He has red/green color blindness. Prior to purchase, I had him look at the charts Pilestone offers to see which lenses will be most effective. This pair works really well for him. He put them on and noticed an immediate change. I told him they work better outside and we stepped out to the front. He was brought to tears looking at our front yard in a whole different perspective. He said he would see the green moss on the tree, a detail he could never pick up before. As he wore the glasses more, his eyes continued to adjust and helped pick up colors he has never seen before. Reds are redder than he’s ever realized and I can’t wait for spring to come so he can have even more green to look at. He said everything is more vibrant and beautiful. I’m so happy! My husband is colorblind and after reading the reviews on here, I was excited to purchase these for him. I wanted to make sure I bought the right pair for him so he took the test on the Pilestone website.I was recommended this pair and was super excited to surprise him with the glasses. The packaging and quality of the glasses are very nice. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for him. He didn’t see any difference and said everything looks dim. We took the Pilestone test again with the glasses and he still failed. We even looked at other test and pictures and it didn’t work. I’m so disappointed.

Well, wearing the glasses made red (or what I think is red) more noticeable. The glasses changed the blue shades and made them more muted. All in all I probable won't use the glasses a lot. They may be good for highlighting reds, which is good for traffic signals, stop signs ,etc.

We purchased the TP-006 Aviators Color Blind Glasses for our son who is red-green colorblind as a test to see if he would benefit from more expensive options like a red filter contact or the more famous color blind glasses that are $250+. First off, let's clear some misconceptions. These glasses do not allow a person to see missing colors like a non-colorblind person. These glasses instead help shift the contrasts of colors that look the same to have more or less contrast so the person can distinguish them better from other colors that normally look identical. In fact, when my son put them on he at first didn't really notice any difference. It wasn't until he started noticing some items around the house and outside that now looked different that he was able to appreciate the effect. For instance certain shades of yellow now "pop" (his words). He is now able to notice yellow caution road signs. He is now able to see the yellow stripes on the road. He can now detect if a traffic light is red, yellow, or green from much farther away. He is able to correctly identify a couple more targets in the colorblind test. These glasses are dark like sunglasses so using them inside or during cloudy or evening conditions outside is difficult. The side of the lens that you and I would see has an iridescent mirror-like hue. The side of the lens the wearer looks through gives the world a pinkish hue with a sunglasses effect. It reminds me of looking through a blank frame of developed 35mm film. The fit is similar to any aviator sunglasses you would find at a big box store. It came with a nice storage case and the build seems to be comparable to a normal pair of sunglasses. I'm rating this as 5 stars because of the value vs. the competitive product ($70 vs. $299) and it does what it is intended to do which is to allow a color blind person to distinguish between a few more shades of color that normally blend in. For my son, it did not fix all of the targets in the color blind test and I'm curious if any of the other lenses would help more. For now, it was enough for us to move forward with getting a red filter contact on his non-dominant eye.

I got them for my son and they do actually work. The vendor, Golden Mermaid, sent them right away and I got them in two days.As far as them working, he is Protan type CB medium while I am a mild Deuteran. He put the glasses on and could see reds for the first time! but they are dark like sunglasses so his teachers give him a hard time. I tried them and they made it worse for me- on a test I was rated to extreme Tritan. So, nutshell: Ups- works well for Protan type for sure; Downs- dark lenses make it difficult for in school use and may not work for Deuteran and don't know how well they do for Tritan. As soon as they come out with a light lens for Protan I will get them for my son.

I gave these glasses a try because of a severe red-green "color blindness." In general the eye care professionals I spoke with over the years did not seem to know much about remediation of this problems or did not offer encouragement. So naturally I was skeptical these glasses would offer much if any help. Thankfully, I was wrong. Red or orange colored objects really pop! I continue to be amazed to see so many objects of red or orange color that I had not "noticed" before. Wearing these glasses is useful, enjoyable and interesting. Apart from color remediation I find the glasses fit well and are sturdily built. The glasses provide a distinct tint to the overall field of vision as well. Give them a try if you have difficulty with the color red. Best of all is the EXCELLENT customer service provided by the seller. Much appreciated. And many thanks for developing these glasses and brining them to the marketplace.

I ordered as a gift for my husband who is colorblind. Apparently there are different types of color blindness as to what colors are seen. These glasses are for red/green and did not make a difference for my husband's sight. I recommend to take a color blindness test and order the specific lens to see the colors you need. I will be returning the glasses. They are fashionable and comfortable.

These did not make any difference for someone who is colour blind. Amazon though are amazing with their full refund, thank you.

Stylish frames. Although the glasses did not benefit me personally, my brother, who is also red/grn deficient had a better experience as he was able to better differentiate between the two colors.

I would not recommend this product.
