Bought this setup for painting my car at home. Worked great. I also purchased a $37 CH moisture trap filter and ran it ahead of these two. You could run a second moisture trap depending on humidity. I painted my car last weekend over The September long weekend. It was overcast and 25C. Not sure on humidity. I painted for a couple hours, 3 doors and two quarter panels. By the end of it all my desiccant beads were pretty much done. They had gone pink anyway. But considering it’s probably about $5-10 worth of dessicsnt beads that you can purchase it’s not a big deal to change them out. Maybe if you have a professional shop you’ll want something higher line with less maintenance(like the ones where I work). But for the odd job at home or even a small shop, if you don’t mind getting a container of dessicant beads and changing them out every car you do, these are great. Note: some may complain it only lasted 15 minutes. This is only part of a good air drying system. Without a moisture trap filter to remove the bulk of the water from your lines, obviously you’ll kill the dessicant filter. Another note: you don’t need this filter or at least a dessicant filter for general shop tools. Dessicant filters help remove moisture for things like painting. If you’re just running this in a shop for tools you’ll be burning through dessicant beads for no reason.

I have done several projects spraying lacquer finishes with no oil, dirt, or moister problems what ever. I have also re-dried the desiccant beads several times; when they turn pink put them in the microwave til they turn purple again.
