Easy to install, works great
Fit my chair, very secure and sturdy, the height was better than the gas cylinder that came with the chair. Take a look at the pictures included in the project description, install takes no time, just make sure you have a pipe wrench so you can unscrew you’re existing cylinder

Worked Perfectly
Had a cylinder break on one of our office chairs and this part worked and fit perfectly. Easy to install and came with a pair of gloves Lol! Shipping was next day which was great. Saving this item for when other one breaks.

Use the right tools and it's not hard to replace.
I watched a couple of videos, and tried to hammer off the chair base from the pneumatic cylinder, to no avail. Finally I tried the pipe wrench to give the cylinder about a quarter turn and remove it from the chair seat. Then I inverted the chair base (with cylinder) over a five-gallon pail, and got a block of 2x4 and a sledgehammer. I put the wood block on top of the inverted cylinder, and hit it a couple times with the sledgehammer to drive the cylinder out of the chair base. It was quickly done. I installed the new cylinder in the base (its just a friction fit), and fit the chair seat onto the top of the cylinder (also a friction fit). The chair works well and feels like new. Time will tell if I can get the expected years of use out of it.

Saved soo much and now happy
The piston was not functioning and the chair was too low for my liking. My wife gifted it to me for Christmas. I wasn’t fond of it, but I hoped to get a new chair. At 400 lbs, my options were limited. However, this new piston truly amazed me. It operates wonderfully and was simple to install. I’m very happy now.

Good Lift Height and Strength
I have replaced several chair lifts - it gets easier each time. And this replacement lift is heavier duty than what is usually installed on chairs from the store. It also provides a little longer lift which is a benefit for taller fellows.

Replacement lift worked perfectly.
This item is amazing. My office chair lift broke and while I was skeptical, I purchased this lift. It took minutes to install and it works perfectly. DEFINITELY worth getting if your office chair lift isn't working anymore.

Prepare for it not to work
In some cases I suppose you could pop out the old one and place this one right in in 30 minutes and it would work. If your old gas cylinder is welded (mine was, from walmart years ago) be prepared to be completely sol and I would just ship it back and get a refund right then. After watching many videos and still struggling to get the old canister out (1 hr in) I finally realized it was welded. Didn't want to cut/grind the only bc I'd have no fallback option, but figured I had to. 2-3 hrs in I realized I may have actually been able to keep the old part if cutting did not work. Also this thing came with 3-4 nuts in it but if its anything other than a quick install the nuts are guaranteed to fall out of place and you'll never be able to websearch how they're supposed to be in.Hr 4 was when I finally grinded it small enough to fit and had safety concerns but tried anyways. And hr 5 was when it broke anyways and I decided to just go buy a new one which was what I had tried to avoid doing in the first place. This could have been averted entirely with even just 1 piece of paper with the list of parts in the box and showing the inside of the canister. But I guess that is one penny too many and every corner must be cut. The old chair manual was inadequate, and any paper for this was non-existent, and I went from poor chair to no chair, and lost ~4 hrs of time trying to make this work.0/5 stars if I could.
