Kenmore BU4020 Intuition Bagged Upright Liftup Vacuum Cleaner 2-Motor Power Suction with HEPA Filter, Handi-Mate for Carpet, Floor, Pet Hair, Red

Bear with me. I needed a vacuum that wasn't super strong on suction, but could get up the dog hair (4 Goldens) off a very large antique Persian rug, and had to have a bag system that holds more than a cup of dirt, and have a reliable brand name. Bingo!! This little baby does it, easily. The four stars are due to the fact that the vacuum has a smaller brush head and so I feel like I have to go slower than normal. I would like to see a couple more inches there.

This is a new vacuum cleaner purchased for high pile carpet. Let's just say this Kenmore has replaced my household Eureka! I am pleased with my purchase so far!

Love, love, love this vacuum. It's the best one ever and at my age of 80 this year, I've had my fair share of vacuum cleaners.

It is little on the heavy side but the suction is powerful on both, bare floors and carpets. So far it's been great. It comes with a disposable bag, which is nice.

Has great suction, haven't tryed taking it off to do the stairs yet.

I replaced a Hoover Wind Tunnel vacuum with this based on the comparable price and reviews. What a mistake it was. The suction is maybe half of what the Hoover was. It's narrow, which means it takes longer. The attachments are awkward and clumsy. The brush head gets all kinds of stuff caught in it and it's not easy to clean. Worst expenditure of $179 ever. Run, don't walk away from this piece of garbage of a vacuum.

I am returning the vacuum because I ordered the same for my daughter, and she said it had poor function and did not clean well as the description stated. I have not opened my vacuum. Still in its original box. When I go home to Alaska, I will take to the UPS and return to you. I have already asked for a label, but please reissue so I can return. Our stormy weather has prevented me from returning home. I have rescheduled my flight three times due to the heavy snowfall.

To preface this review I do want to say the vacuum works amazing. I do professional housekeeping and use this at my clients houses. It negates the need to get an edger with its lift up ability. Where this review comes in is that the plastics used in the crafting of this item is cheap. Ive had it roughly 6-7 months. I absolutly only use it at my clients house and use a different vacuum at home. Thing is I have 2 clients I clean weekly. So its used only twice as much as a normal vacuum. Which is extremely disappointing that they barley lasted that long and have this quickly broken apart. I cant tape everything together as its supposed to be a professional vacuum I cant go into a clients home with a vacuum that looks like its going to leave more dirt than it picks up. I have just super glued what I can back together and will still have to tape the back hose on to make sure it doesnt fall out, if the back hose falls out it loses all suction power as its need to bring stuff into the bag. Please Kenmore in the future use better parts to craft your vacuums. No matter how great it works it means nothing if the whole exterior falls apart.
