Acid Reflux Diet
I was recently diagnosed with Barretts Esophagus which is a potentially dangerous illness caused by many years of untreated acid reflux. This book is very easy to follow. In fact, it starts out with a list of foods that will help eliminate the acid reflux symptoms. This is no longer a choice, it is a requirement. Because I want to live my live as full and healthy as possible, I plan to follow this book to a "T".

Overall, informative and useful
In all, this book is a great primer for those suffering from GERD. The information is current and gives as much detail as possible in a small amount of space about each food and how it can help with GERD symptoms. And I love the advice of not relying on medications to treat this condition (at least, for me, not for the long-term). Most of all, the price was great for this information.BUT, on the other hand, I have a few problems with this:- There is no biographical information on the "Health Research Staff." Who, what, where are three questions that immediately came to mind. Even on their website there is no mention as to who they are.- Other than a few pages of "References," there is no mention of where their information came from. In all honesty, the information for this book I have found in countless GERD-related books and websites. Also, it would have been nice if some suggestions were given as to how to use the foods featured. A few sample recipes would have been nice, but, if not that, just suggestions on how to prepare some of the foods would have helped those who are totally lost.Again, this is a great primer and quick reference guide for GERD sufferers, but one can find more in-depth information elsewhere. - Donna Di Giacomo.

Acid reflux
Advise was excellent. I tried 2 recipes & they were excellent. I will make those again. I couldn't find time to make others as I recently had shoulder surgery. After therapy I will start cooking again. I am following all the foods to eat & I am 100% better than 1 month ago. I can't & won't go beck to regular food. The best idea I have ever had.will have to go to their website and see if they have more

A concise summary
I like the short to the point explanation of recommended foods. While I agree with most of the foods to help with herd or Barretts there are a few like apples, apricots and various berries that may be good antioxidants but are acidic with a phone in the 3 to 4 range instead of nearer the 5-7 range which is less acidic and less of a digestive irritant.

Info may not be accurate.
The back cover and other places in the book it refers to look up a websiteCureGERD.info. Well I have done so several times and each time I do, there isNO website... So this makes me wonder about the book itself. Is the informationcontained in the book accurate ?Not worth the purchase price due to misleading information.
