Good product
I bought this bottle to ensure that the brakes on my car would not squeak or rattle after replacing pads and rotors. Its cheap and easy to apply, and the CRC products I've used before seem to be high-quality at a reasonable price. In order to use the product, you should be wearing disposable gloves. The stuff is bright red, its messy, and it sticks to everything. All you have to do is apply a liberal amount to the back side (the part that is NOT touching the brake disc) of all of your brake pads before you install them, then put them in as usual, and put everything back together. If you still get squeaking after putting these in, you either missed one, or there is something else wrong with your brake system. However, sometimes the brakes make some noises when they are getting "broken in." So just because you hear something doesn't mean there is absolutely something wrong. As long as the brakes are pulling hard, and stopping safely, give it a few days of driving for the new pads to seat on the rotors before troubleshooting any noises for new brake pads.Only reason I am not giving this product 4-5 stars, is the packaging did not stand up to shipping. When I opened the box, the little red cap had come off, and about 1/3 of the bottle had squeezed out, all over the other items in the box. It was a big mess, and as mentioned previously, this stuff is almost impossible to completely get off once it sticks. Luckily it was just plastic and cardboard packaging that was ruined, but it could have been worse. Not to mention I lost 1/3 of the volume from the bottle. So that is at least one less bake job I can do before I need to order more.I'm not sure if its CRC not sealing the bottle well enough, or if Amazon being careless in the shipping, but somehow the combination of this bottle being shipped loosely in a cardboard box ended badly for me. Your experience may vary.If possible, try to buy this product in individually-wrapped packets, instead of a bulk bottle like this. That would avoid the problem I ran into.

Impressive and Effective Brake Solution
I used the CRC Disc Brake Quiet - 4 Fl Oz on both of our vehicles' brakes last month, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the results. Our factory brakes always squeaked when lightly applied, which was quite annoying. However, after using this product, the squeaks are completely gone!Application was straightforward, and the results were immediate. Both vehicles are now quiet, even during gentle braking. I couldn't be happier with how well this product worked. If you're dealing with squeaky brakes, I highly recommend giving CRC Disc Brake Quiet a try. It truly delivers!

Works great, good price, quiet braking, a little runny
I got sick of getting dimed to death buying the buck fify packets at the auto store. I had to be chincy with the small packets. I would end up buying a packet for each wheel that ended up being 7 bucks. To milk me out of money, the store conveniently no longer carries the tubes of brake grease, only the small packets. This stuff is great. I can slobber on and feel confident I have enough on. I have forgotten to buy the brake grease when buying pads and end up needing to go back. We have 2 cars and happy I bought this. The last pad change out, I forgot to buy packets and put the rears on with high temp silicone, they squealed horribly. I bought the CRC and had to redo them. Worked great, squeal completely gone. The one downside, but not a deal breaker, the stuff is a bit runny, as mentioned by others. The thicker stuff in the packets work better to hold the parts together when getting the caliper on. This stuff still does it, but not as well. No major issues for me though. This is why I gave it 4 stars versus a 5. This seemed to be the best value. I think you can get the thicker vicosity stuff in a tube, but this was the cheaper solution. Payback for me was only 1 brake change.

Small price as a prevention
There are many, many ways that brakes can make noise. CRC Disc Brake Quiet can help prevent one of them. One of the many ways is if the backs of the pads vibrate against the caliper piston. I use this is a prevention for that particular noise when I install new brakes.I few myths I must dispel:- This is not a substitute for not using the shims. If your brakes come with shims, use them.- If you do not let this dry before install, you might as not well use it at all. Save your money. Here is the best hint I can give you: When you set out to do your brake job, the very first thing you should do is put this on the backs your new pads BEFORE you start taking the old brakes apart. That way they will have plenty of time to dry before you actually need install the new pads. Don't wait until you pick up the pads to put them in to put this on. If I do this at the beginning of the job, by the time I get to installing the new pads, the CRC Disc Brake Quiet is nice and tacky.

Stopped the noise
I used this on the pads as there was a groan when at slow speeds just before stopping. This stuff eliminated the noise. Followed the directions with an even coating across the entire backing surface and allowed it to dry. It worked wonders eliminating the noise.
