I cut & applied this anti-slip/added footing grip tape to our kitchen foot stool, my aluminum garage ladder, and the pull-down attic ladder. This is quality stuff. The grit level is definitely good for keeping your footing on a ladder or foldable 3-stp kitchen foot stool to reach higher cabinets/pantry shelves; and, the tape is obviously from 3M (or, a rare knock-off that is actually equivalent to its adhesive quality) because it sticks solidly - you will have a hard time pulling it off if you aren't careful the first time. And, for grins I took the foot stool into our downstairs bathroom with no windows and sure enough, the glow-strip glows brightly. I don't believe its glowing properties would ever come in handy, but its bright color strip will guide your feet to (or, away from) the edge of the step.the 4" width was the right size for my purposes. I had to cut/affix them two strips wide on some of the wider steps, and the wooden steps on my pull-down attic ladder are 3" wide, so there was some overhang - but, instead of cutting off the extra inch, I folded it over on the front and used 4 silver thumb-tacks to keep it securely folded over in case the adhesive tape ever fatigues and wants to loosen/pull up from being folded over at a 45 degree angle.Even after applying the tape to all (3) devices there is still 5-6 feet left over for a future.I highly recommend this no-slip tape, but only for permanent applications and i don't know whether it is designed for any application outdoors (i.e. deck/patio.

I really like these tread strips; they really stick to my wooden deck nicely. They have a glow at night so easy to step up/down in the dark. I feel so much better walking down my wooden pool deck steps without fear of slipping (which is often wet). Super easy to install, comes with a little roller for great adhesion.Highly recommend, they look nice too.

I used to place on the edge of my walkway that has different steps. It worked great, and no one has tripped since installing.

This product was easy to put on and looks great at night with the iridescent strip. The only problem was when I tried to push a box over it, it ripped the strip. Otherwise it holds up great even after rains.

I had new steps built and my dogs hated the slippery wood. One of my dogs jumped off the bed and injured her foot and was having a really hard time using the stairs. I bought this in the hopes of helping him. I put them on last week. Took about 15 minutes to do 6 steps. It has rained since then and they are still stuck to the steps. Dog will now use the steps without any problem but his leg is still sore. Great product. I hope they last for a long time.

Very good quality and perfect for slippery surfaces and worked very nicely

I really liked this grip tape, especially with the glowing strips on it. I sanded and water sealed my deck and added my grip tape in preparation for safety reasons in the snowy season. It was easy to apply. It came with a roller to help make sure the adhesive was pressed down all the way. It was really great. Here we are a year later, however, and a lot of it is peeling. I loved it. The glow in the dark strip is bright enough to be helpful. I just wish it lasted longer.

The instructions say not to put this tape on bare wood, but my porch steps are made of bare wood, so I had no choice. It works great! I have had other tape that would not stick for more than a few weeks. This tape really sticks.I also like the glow-in-the-dark stripe. One reviewer complained that his stripes did not glow. It is important to know that the stripes get "charged up" by the sun during the day. If you put the tape in a dark place like on basement stairs, I doubt that they will glow.
