Very Good camera
Ratings for overall, stabilization and auto focus are tentative based on only having the camera for a couple of days. I had a different model Nikon Coolpix, which developed problems after 3 years. I liked it, and I greatly appreciated being able to purchase and use AA batteries to power the camera rather than having to carry sets of rechargeables that drain too quickly. This camera has different tonalities of color than my previous Nikon. The greens are much better, and the photographing of red is superior to the earlier version. Colors so far have been reproduced with great accuracy. The zoom is amazing, but seems like it will need a tripod at times, which makes me wonder about image stabilization. I've had a little trouble with getting the macro to focus when the object on which I'm attempting to focus doesn't contain something bright enough for the autofocus to register. Practice pays off, though. Depth of field is better. Light and dark areas are different - it's harder to pick out objects if they're in shadows. The previous camera seemed to lighten things a bit, where as this model lets shadows, etc. darken. At least so far. I have noticed a slight tendency for images which are in focus to be slightly out of focus after the shutter release - but that's on the camera screen: when I put those same images on my computer monitor, they looked great. It's not as immediate a point and click as my last one - it takes a little longer to focus, etc. I don't know if I'll be able to capture say, a hummingbird as I used to do. Previously I'd get the bird, but the wings would blur out. I haven't seen a hummer since I got the camera a couple of days ago, but I did snap a dragon fly - and it's wings were absolutely clear. Am I happy with my purchase? You bet I am. I can't afford the kind of camera with the options that I want, but this will more than do until that day in the future. The images I uploaded have not been altered in anyway from what the camera took.

ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE
I’ve been into photography, graphic design, and all types of arts since I was in high school. senior year in 2017, I had taken a summer photography class and loved it so much I’ve been wanting a camera ever since. I FINALLY GOT ONE my birthday is June 13, it was scheduled to come on the 12th, and I received it on the 10th! I’m so happy for it. I get to take my nephew’s grad pics tomorrow!

Poor quality control
Ordered this refurbished camera. It did not work. Easy to return and get a replacement shipped. The replacement also did not work. Both cameras kept saying Turn camera off and back on and never got past that on startup. Also easy to return. I have bought other refurbished products and not had a problem. Amazon / Nikon should check on the company doing the refurbishing and selling of these cameras. Quality control is poor - two defective products in a row. I am not buying another one.

Don’t buy refurbished stuff
Bought this refurbished hoping to save a bit of money but mine came with a cracked flash that didn’t pop up, a severely scratched screen and the blue tooth function didn’t work on it at all. Great thing is the company allows returns and makes it easy. All together best to just buy it new or be willing to buy and return.

You get what you pay for
This is a decent beginner camera if you know how to use it correctly, but if you don't know how to use it and take advantage of certain features- i do not recommend. Tips on how I use it: - I always take photos from extremely far away and zoom in as much as possible. - This camera is OLD so editing is extremely important if you want quality photos - Autofocus always on and i turn the temperature up just one since I like warmer photos - This does not take good pictures in motion Overall the camera is what you pay for. Do I like it? Kind of. Would I purchase it again if I lose or damage it? No- I would definitely save up and get a high quality camera. The first photo I linked is an example of how your photos may turn out at the beginning while you are still figuring it out- do not stress it because eventually you will get a good grasp on it.

Excelente producto.
