Creatine supplement for building muscles. Bought it for my son who is strength training in high school for health and football.

I have been using this form of creatine to boost my workouts for 15 years and I love it! I used to take creatine monohydrate, but the kre-alkaline form is much more bio-available to the muscles and so much easier on the gastrointestinal system. No upsets or bloating, just amazing strength gains and lean muscle mass.

Alright - where to even begin when discussing the review of a supplement that aids in muscle growth and weight lifting.I'm a 73-year-old former Marine who religiously hits the gym 4-5 times a week, spending 3 hours at a time while there. As I've gotten older, I noticed that my energy levels, muscle size/definition, and stamina have waned somewhat and that had me concerned. I began reading up on a variety of supplements that one could take to aid in this process, and I subsequently focused on Creatine products.I began first by using Creatine Monohydrate capsules - the most common form of creatine on the market - and by God, yes it worked. After a few weeks my strength levels increased by a good 10-15% depending on the exercise I was performing. Muscle size also noticeably increased in size, and my weight-lifting stamina and strength were noticeably improved.But the side effects - just as advertised - was bloating. In my case, the bloating was all in my stomach, and it showed. Trousers were tighter around the waist to wear, and I gained within the first 2-3 weeks, a good 10+ lbs.But one side effect bothered me (and my wife) the most - and that was the issue of "gassy-assy," sigh. I started developing bad intestinal gas issues at the end of the day and by the time I sat down in the evening to watch TV, I was blowin' my poor wife off the couch with some absolutely tremendous silent-but-deadly (SBD) farts!!! There is no other way to describe it. Of course, being the typical guy, I first delighted in having the power to force my wife off the couch by these means, but that soon ended when I saw the look on her face.Then I began researching other creatine products and read about versions that had lower PH formulations such as this one here - NOW Sports Nutrition, Kre-Alkalyn Creatine. So I ordered, really looking forward to seeing if my bloating would decrease - especially my gas issues.Well unfortunately, the bloating remained and so did the gas issues, and that was a huge disappointment, and it made me realize that every digestive system is different. I made sure to investigate if there were other issues at hand that might have been causing my gas. In the end, I discovered it was the Creatine in general that was causing it all. So, I had to stop taking Creatine (of all types and formulations) and my issues stopped.Luckily - after stopping my creatine intake - I hadn't lost any noticeable strength or size. In the end, my poor wife of 43 years actually threatened to leave me if I continued with my gass-assy syndrome. It took me a few hours to figure out if I wanted to keep the Creatine and chance it with "da Misses," or if I should just quit. Well, the wife won - now I'm gas free, my stomach size has gone down somewhat also. So I guess it was the right decision.So the moral of my story is - be careful when using Creatine (especially when you get older), because different types (formulations) basically will have the same effect in key areas (i.e. bloating and for some folks, big time farting issues). I just hope you don't get that overblown colonic back-blast syndrome that I experienced for a few months.In the end, everyone is different, and your mileage may vary. Good luck...

Yes this is a five star product. I use to do the powder and I get so bloated. Then try another brand capsule but it seems short of dose and I don't take it beyond recommendation. I did try this NOW SPORTS KRE-ALKALINE and I really liked it. After 2 weeks my pumps are better and no stomach upset or bloating. Good fluid retension in the muscles just as expected with other brands but at a great price and actual results without the bloating or stomach upsets.Update.Few months now. I did some cycling to rest my system and went back. Took the dose without loading and the results are pretty much the same as other brands I used before. The great thing is it is so convenient especially I take other supplements. You dont have to chug down lots of fluid or hassle of shaking and mixing.

The best form of Creatine out there. Its a highly absorbable from that wont convert to creatinine so no liver worries with this product. Also, due to the high levels of absorption there is no loading phase and the dosage is quite low. Take some in the morning for a cognitive boost as well as supplementing before and after workouts. The product got to me very quickly of course and I love the fact that there is no loading involved with this creatine! You can start taking it and it's ready to help create the results you want. I take 2 before the workout, and 2 after and on the days I don't workout, I take two around lunch time. I have seen results after using a month and I will continue to use it!

Great form of creatine. Less of this is needed than regular powder and it does not cause stomach cramping like powders do.

Updated review. Some capsules were partially filled, maybe like 8-10 in the whole bottle. Thought this might be a counterfeit product, but after checking lot # and date with NOW customer service, it is probably just from a bad lot. Unfortunately, Amazon provides no credit, although NOW seemed to think the would. Still don't know if they are doing anything healthwise. Probably don't take frequently enough.
