Good leather thimble for sewing
This is a nice set of thimbles. I use them for quilting to protect my fingers. I got the large size and they fit well. I would recommence these for anyone who does a lot of sewing. The long leather one keeps the needle from rubbing my middle finger and the smaller one is good for pushing the needle through layers of material.

Excellent for one who quilts with a thumb
I quilt by pushing the needle with my thumb and I have tried so many different thimbles! Up to now the only one that worked was the Dritz leather which I'd modify a bit to fit, but they are a little stiff and don't last real long. This big piece of leather (size M) fits beautifully on my thumb and is easy for me to push with, and so far seems beefy enough. Time will only tell if it lasts better than the Dritz. It does leave little bits of suede behind but they brush off... that seems to be lessening as I use it more. It is a bit over-packaged with the tin. And I haven't tried the smaller cylindrical one in the set. Update 5.10.23 -- now I've used this for the better part of a king sized quilt and it's still going strong. It is flexible yet very sturdy at stopping the needle from stabbing me. I really love it.

Great product
I love the box and aesthetic of the product. It was a little big for my finger but I am finding how to use it anyway and it is great protection. Maybe if the ring one were a little adjustable.

Great for hand stitching
The ring for my finger is my favorite part of this set. It prevents irritation from repeated contacts with the needle eye. Highly recommend.

heavy leather but comfortable
I am pinning my quilt tops and backing on a long-arm quilt machine. I previously was using a snap on system but some days were too hard on my hands. This thimble is perfect for the long sharp pins needed to pin to the leaders. I have plenty of thimbles for use but I wanted to see if this would help with the pinning.

Clumsy
I love embroidery, but I am constantly losing thimbles down the crack of my chair, and it's too heavy for me to lift, so once it's down there, it's stuck till I can get help. I've tried different metal thimbles, but I decided I was done not having anything, so I ordered one of every highly-ranked thimble at Amazon. The notion of using leather is a great one; it's not going to fly off like a metal thimble does. However, the overhang is just huge, and I don't have a lot of control over it. This is a concern, because needlework demands precision, so if you can't feel where your finger is exactly, you're more likely to make an error.I'm keeping this one for emergency use, but I am not much impressed. Conceptually it's a five, but in execution, it's a two or less.

Sturdy Thimble
This is a good way to protect your fingers while sewing. I’ve tried using the plastic thimble that comes in every sewing kit, and they are terrible. This is a good quality piece of leather and it works.

Save your fingers from your needle!
I’m using the elasticized portion both as a needle pusher and, in the other hand, a needle catcher. Works great and the needle doesn’t pierce the leather.

Best thimble I’ve ever used.
Die to the weird way I push needles through when quilting I need something longer and more secure than a traditional thimble. This is perfect! I have no idea about the leather ring, but the thimble is Amazing. Secure elastic. Fits snug. Doesn’t move and more importantly, sits in the right place and the needles doesn’t hurt my finger!!! Well worth the wait to get from the US !
