... that there were tons of products that look exactly like OLpure when I gambled with this purchase
I knew that there were tons of products that look exactly like OLpure when I gambled with this purchase. After reading so many reviews, I only got more confused really. Glowing reviews can be so distracting sometimes. But in my experience after using this item for the past month, I am satisfied so far. Two things concerned me: 1) the amount of soap coming out, and 2) accidental dispenses. There are 3 dispensing amounts to choose from (instructions included for how to change it), and by default the lowest amount is enabled. For me it was just the right amount, although I prefer the "just the right amount" to be on the middle setting rather then on the lowest setting. In comparison, a typical manual hand pump from a Bath & Body soap dispenser pumps out a little more than the lowest setting on the OLpure. As far as the sensor goes, I have to bring up my hand (or scrubbing pad) pretty much an inch or so away from the "black window" for it to activate a pump. Probably subject to preference, but this is ideal for me since I wash dishes manually in the sink and I didn't want unwanted soap coming out. Good thing for me no "misfires" in the month that I've used it.Potential issues: Already I can tell that soap likes to "dry up" at the dispensing hole just like all manual pumps. Picking out any clumps is easy but requires a slight awareness to always keep this in check. The batteries at the bottom are covered by a battery door and then a cap that goes over the battery door. Neither have rubber sealing so its also an awareness thing to always avoid too much water splashing around the base. The oil spray bottle. I wish someone mentioned this before my purchase. Its a "Basic" spray, meaning that one push of the button and the oil comes out in one instant spray. This is NOT a pump-style bottle where air pressure builds up inside after several pumps and holding down the button releases a continuous spray.

Seemed like a great deal
Update 5/24/17 Seller offering to replace unit(s), will updateUpdate 5/22/17 Unit 2 months old, Batteries rusting again, changed and cleaned up - Now unit does not work at all!!!I had left a 5 star review, but the "Oil Sprayer" totally broke today after 39 days of use (actually used it about 10 times). The soap dispenser is still working at this point. At 40 days, Down to 3 starts -- I thought I'd check the batteries of the soap dispenser ans YES, there is a problem with water getting into the battery compartment and rust forming..

Product Review *Updated* - Worked well while it worked
Updated Review: I am now on my third and fourth of these units, having ordered two originally (one for kitchen and one for bath). Unfortunately, three of them are now in the garbage, and I expect the fourth will be in a matter of days or weeks, too. Though customer service has been impeccable and and prompt in sending replacement units, I can't in good conscience leave my 5 star review given that that I have gone through so many of these units. The first one I had replaced because the light worked but the motor did not right out of the box, so I chalked it up to a defect. The second one I had replaced because it stopped working a month in (the light worked but the motor did not) and left a huge puddle of soap all over my counter (soap had somehow gotten into the motor compartment in the middle of the night and must have shorted it out). The third one got a little water in the "waterproof" base and corroded the batteries--after drying it out and putting in new batteries, it still did not work. I will be purchasing a different dispenser that has a better design for the battery compartment, and hopefully a better motor.Original Review from 7/14: Great soap dispenser. Great seller. Bought two and one was defective; seller responded and resent a working one within a few hours. Have not used the oil sprayer yet so cannot comment on that yet. The only improvement I can see in future models would be a waterproof seal around battery cover to seal out water splashes. Would recommend.

Did not work.....Does now
This item does not work. I put new batteries in it yesterday when it arrived, and filled it with soap. At first, it would only dispense the soap if I pushed the button on the top, but today it just plain does not work. I have another automatic soap dispenser that looks just like this one, but is banded differently. That one works just great, so I know it is possible. It is already filled with soap, and the box is gone, so I won't be returning it. I am very disappointed.UPDATE; The seller saw my review and immediately sent an email asking for my order number. I received a new dispenser today, and it seems to word perfectly. FIVE STARS for the seller, and I am hoping to have a useful soap dispenser for a long time.

Don't waste your money unless you intend to store it with ...
This is an addendum to my review from August 7, 2017. The sellers asked if I wanted a new dispenser for the one that broke. I accepted their offer along with some advice to fix the issue of water getting into the battery compartment. I received the new unit. No design change and did not work right out of the box. The seller asked me to change my review ... sorry, I'm not changing it, just adding an addendum. This is by far the worse experience I have had with any Amazon purchase in years.-----------------------Review from 8/7/2017-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What a piece of junk! It worked for about 4 1/2 months and stopped working because it got wet on the bottom. "Oh, I'm sorry. Should I have not put the soap dispenser near the sink where it might get wet?" [heavy sarcasm]. Don't waste your money unless you intend to store it with your electronics and other hydrophobic items!P.S. ... I think they give the sprayer for free because they are taking up space in their warehouse ... never worked right out of the box.
