Schnauzer Novelty Pet Sign This great looking novelty pet sign is made from a tough plastic material called Coroplast (corrugated plastic). We use high quality fade-resistant UV inks. It's approx. 12" x 12" square and approx. 3/16" thick. It's lightweight, but it's very strong and very durable. It can be bent, but it does not chip, break or rust. It has a glossy finish that easily wipes clean. It looks great wherever it's hung, whether that's indoors, outdoors, at home, the office, on a tool shed, a barn or a fence. Our 4 mm thick Coroplast signs are about 5-6 times thicker than the typical .04 mm thick Styrene signs you'll often see. We use black and yellow inks on a white background because that's where you'll get the greatest contrast making the sign much easier to see and read from a distance than other color combinations. Coroplast (What Our Signs are Made From) Corrugated plastic is the material of choice for low-cost signs that are tough, waterproof, rustproof, dent resistant and lightweight. They are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. They will last indoors for many, many years, even decades. When placed outdoors, they will last from 1 to 10 years (varies widely based on weather conditions). If placed outdoors, they will last longest when they are out of direct sunlight. Our signs are screen printed with high quality durable UV inks and are approximately 3/16" thick (about the thickness of 3 Pennies). Coroplast is constructed in the same way as corrugated cardboard, but plastic is used. Styrene (What Many Sign Competitors Use) Styrene or Polystyrene is a bright white smooth substrate that is good for indoor usage. STYRENE IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR OUTDOOR USE as it will turn yellow (when exposed to sunlight) and it becomes brittle over time which causes it to easily chip or break (especially when exposed to extremely cold weather).
