Fondo di Toscana Polenta, White, 17.6 Ounce

This polenta may be pricier than some options, however, it is worth it. Its imported from Italy, is a high-end restaurant quality product, and contains no gmo corn.To make, place 4c of water in a pan of choice(I use a wide/shallow stainless chicken fryer for max evaporation and ease of stirring), when it begins to simmer, slowly add 1c of polenta while whisking(it should take 5-10min to add...shake it in), continue to stir for as long as it takes(it takes us 60-75min for a double batch). We use a silicone spoon, but any spoon works. When the polenta pulls away from the sides and seems to stick to itself, its done. while cooking, taste and add salt to taste.For variations, you can add various herbs, mushrooms, onions, Sun dried tomatoes, parm cheese, replace some of the water with milk. You can also make it, set it in a baking pan(loaf works well),make slices that you then pan fry, deep fry(with or without flouring),broil, or bake.This is a great, versatile product!! I removed one star for lack of directions/variations. I happen to be an experienced cook, however, the lack of clear instructions could leave some with 11pounds of confusion.

Got this for a good friend who was raised eating the white polenta. And its hard to find. I have always used the yellow polenta, because I was raised with that. We are from near Milan, and she's from further north in Italy, Frizanco in the Friuli Gulia. The white polenta tasted very good, by the way!

I think we got instant polenta, which cooked very quickly.This is from Italy, where I think they don't use GMO corn!I've had the contents of this package in a 9" X 13" pan in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks! It is still good!It has a lot of uses. We've served it at breakfast, and it's really good topped with salsa.Yes, we will buy this again!

Small package for pricing. Polenta came out good but I think any medium grind would do just as well.

Good Product, a small amount produces alot., It works well with alot of dish's, we tried it with Rabbit Calabresi

Tiny bugs. Had to throw out about seven pounds of this, stored nine months in gasketed Oxo pop-up container from the day the package was opened, due to very tiny bugs moving In the polenta.

Great consistency. Great flavor.
