Solabela® Basel Artist Pastel Chalks, Set of 24 Unique Colors

My 17 year old niece asked for pastels for Christmas and I was a little wary about how cheap these were so I decided to buy two and try them out before hand. Solabela Chalk Pastels were worth the risk! The colors are bright and the blending is excellent. The chalks are VERY fragile, I would not recommend for children or people unfamiliar with chalk pastels. I will be buying more from here.

I like that the colors are vibrant. The packaging is great. This product is best for beginners and the occasional artists, because the chalk is shorter and thinner than expected. Otherwise, nice.

My 7 year old was very interested in art and chalk pastels are one of my favorite mediums and I figured they would be the easiest to start her with. I bought these so she had a set of her own, bought some sketch pads and gave her a little lesson on how to use and examples of some famous artists that used them a lot. In a few days time she was showing me some really great pieces and had a large sketch book filled within a month!

They came early and they were in good condition. The box had some colored dust on it but that was not a big problem. I saw reviews where their pastels were broken and covered in dust from other pastels and tossed all over the box but these were in their spots and in great condition. I am new to pastels so I think as a beginner they are a great value. They are kind of soft and very easy to blend. Great starter product.

My kid likes that so I can't complain

These pastels came in pristine condition. They are brighly colored, somewhat hard, not soft, in my opinion. I think they make a great addition to a beginner's artist set.

Awesome pastels for the price. I got the 48 for my niece and then turned around and ordered 5 of the 24 sets. I use a lot of pastels in my art and this is a good basic set. I shaved the pastel onto my art piece, colours still vibrant after fixative applied.

For my first set of pastels, I am very happy with these! Good pigment, need quite a bit of blending but I'm not sure if that's me or the pastels/product.

Great chalks for the price, kids loved them

Points positifs :- Belle palette de couleurs.- Effet très joli pour la décoration : je l'utilise sur de la fimo.Points négatifs :- Craies de petite taille (correspond au bas prix) qui mesure à peine 6cm de long et 0,8cm de côté.- Très fragile : cinq des craies sont arrivées cassées et sont donc plus difficile à utiliser. Je ne les renvoie pas car j'en ai besoin de suite mais je suis très déçue (Cause : l'emballage était médiocre : un simple carton entourait la boite et du coup le produit était mal protégé).J'espère que mon commentaire vous sera utile pour faire votre choix.
