The lamp is perfect and well made. I also purchased the matching shade. I gave 4 stars in lieu of 5 stars as the lamp switch was defective. It seemed to have a short in the switch.I contacted Amazon, they replaced the lamp. The new lamp works perfectly. I am very happy.

I love the look of it, but the stars on top are crooked. We purchased two of them for our bedside tables and used the red vine 14" lamp shades. It looks awesome with our bedroom. But if anyone looked closely they would see the crooked star on top. It didn't bother me enough not to keep them or exchange them. I figured since they came in two separate boxes and both of them were crooked that if I exchanged them I would end up with the same problem. And honestly, I couldn't pick better lamps for our decor, so I obviously like them and kept them. We love having only the candles on bottom lit for a romantic feeling in the room, but the lamps are bright enough for reading before bed. I simply cannot give an imperfect item 5 stars.

These are the most unique lamps I've ever purchased. I was looking for something to complement my new rustic themed bedroom and couldn't pass them up. Yes, you do need to buy the shades separately but they are still a good price. They have that hand made look which I like and I love the nightlife feature on the bottom. Only thing I'm unsure of is the strange smell the lamps give off while turned on. They are still new so I'm thinking it will go away once they are broken in.

My wife was looking so forward to getting this lamp. It's very pretty and just what she wanted but received it all messed up. The finial was broke and the harp is so bent the shade sits to one side. I will purchase a new harp for it so the shade will sit straight. I guess I will have to get another finial. Definitely disappointed!!!

Really nice lamp. The star finial is straight on mine (other reviews said the star arrived askew). I odred the 14" metal shade pictured and it goes well with the lamp. Color is black as pictured and the texture is rough so dusting may be an issue - it will probably need a pass over with a damp cloth periodically. Glass on 3 sides slides up and out for easy cleaning, the back (behind the bulb is solid metal).

I've purchased two of these, and overall they are a nice lamp. A little pricey, and the quality definitely varies from piece to piece. But, if they're what you're looking for, they're a good purchase!

I love the lamps appearance. One was pretty bent up in the front edge, on arrival, but the box was not damaged at all. Which means, it must have gone into the box that way. The glass panes slide in from the top on each of the sides. The problem is the lamp is made in India, in the classic fashion, by someone sitting on the ground with Tin Snips and a hammer. Lots of imperfections. The metal is the thickness of between notebook paper and construction paper. It is extremely thin and bends extra easily. The joints have very small spot welds in the corners and some joints are not welded at all. The channels that hold the glass in, some have 1/8 inch gaps between "L" shaped channel and the main housing box. They are just flapping around and not connected. If we would have been able to see the quality and construction before purchasing them, we would've never bought these, plain and simple. I spent about two hours straighting the edges, trying to clamp them down without bending the thin metal, trying to solder both back together. Even on the lamp that was not damaged. And, thats not repairing the bent damaged areas either. The screws in the hoops that screw into the finales to hold the lamp shades down, were to long and had to be ground down. They wouldnt tighten up completely to secure the shades. Once I completed everything, I was satisfied except for the metal thickness, which is a joke. I like the flickering candle at night. Its old school Texas Rustic. My wife said," Send them back. No one should have to put that much work in on something new". Hope this helps.

I love this lamp! It was a little pricey, since the shade must be purchased separately. It has three settings; top bulb and lower candlelabra bulb together, just the top bulb, or just the candlelabra. I like leaving the lower, softer bulb on at night. I purchased the recommended bulbs with this, which provide just the right amount of ambient light.

Save your money and don’t buy! Made of very flimsy metal that was bent (the panel you raise and lower at the back to change the bottom bulb). Lots of chipped paint. Missing the sleeve that the instructions say to use after you remove the sleeve that it came with. The reason for the second sleeve is because the one that comes with it has a sticker around it telling you what type of bulb to use. When you remove the sticker( since the second one was not sent), it removed 80% of the paint on the sleeve. My husband had to repair the top of the lamp, the star, as it wobbled. Very disappointed and want to warn others
