Happy Hoodie The Original Dog & Cat Calming Band - American Brand - Anxiety Relief/Noise Protection-Grooming-Thunder-Fireworks (Large, Pink) - Since 2008

I don't know what kind of magic this thing possesses, but it has really worked for my dog, 75 lb lab mix. For a variety of reasons (combination of aging behavior, health issues, excitable personality, etc.) my dog started waking up frequently throughout the night. Before the happy hoodie, he would pace restlessly in the bedroom or whine until I woke up and we'd go downstairs and lay on the couch. One night I decided to see if this would help - he woke up restless, I gently slipped it on him, and within seconds he was back on the bed and snoozing away comfortably until it was time to get up. I use it during the daytime here and there when he is overly worked up or restless for one reason or another and it has worked consistently for him. Make sure to keep their ears flat against their head underneath the hoodie - takes a second or two to get the fit right but it makes a difference. It worked so well I bought a second one so I could have an upstairs one and a downstairs one. Size large was a good fit. Worth every penny in my opinion!

My dog Hella is generally anxious, especially around loud noises. Putting the happy hoodie on calms her right down. First pic I posted is just for looks, the second pic is how peaceful she looks when the noises are blocked by this little snood! If I put this on her head during a heavy fireworks session - she completely mellows out. What would normally cause her to pace in bark she will barely even acknowledge with the happy hoodie on. If the fireworks are really booming she may tilt her head or let out a bark or two, but nowhere near the level of fear she has without it on. This product works better than any med or supplement I have tried before, including Trazadone + Gabapentin. Hella recently had TPLO surgery and around month two of recovery was getting more agitated (barking at me and charging at her cat siblings) even though this wasn’t a noise related stressor, put the hoodie on her absolutely made a difference. I think it’s like the pressure on her ears or cancelling out the ambient noise around her soothes her. I couldn’t find her original hoodie for about a week, and I had to order another one because it’s that helpful. I found the first one but I’m not mad about having a backup (now in pink)! Hella is 50 pounds and wears a large happy hoodie.

It's a great product and nice fit on my dog. I only gave it lower stars because my dog has an ear hematoma and is shaking his head a lot and two shakes and it is completely off his head and around his neck. I will most likely use it again for bathing in the future, but I was hoping to help his ears.

I have one dog that is afraid of thunder. I inherited him back in August. I bought a vest and this happy hoodie at the same time. The vest didn’t seem to have the effect I wanted however this hoodie is fantastic. He’s calm and doesn’t try to hide when it’s thundering outside. I’m so glad I could make him more comfortable

Well, it fits snuggly on my cats heads, they were not fans, and I did not see any calming effect. It looks like one of those wristbands you used to wear back in the day when you did aerobics. My one cat tried to run away, and the other cat was really pissed and growled a lot. I guess it depends on your cats, but it’s not gonna work for us.

I have a 5 year old purebred male yorkie (about 8 lbs). In a few seconds I didn't even recognize his anxious little energy. He's very triggered by sudden loud noises, construction, vacuuming, knocking, yells, etc. You name it. He also has some separation anxiety since I raised him during the COVID era (pandemic pup) but now leave more often for school and work. I got the size small and slipped it on his head one afternoon. At first, he just.. froze. He didn't know what to do. He was kinda sitting stiff for a few minutes + head crooked and I was trying so hard not to burst into laughter.. God help me. This was the funniest thing I had ever seen. He soon was laying down in the same spot, still seeming a bit paralyzed. He is just dramatic, though. Anyways, it was very easy to put on, stays in place at least for us (even overnight), and his little ears are very easily covered. Putting it on him induced some sort of sedative effect to some degree. I just can't tell if this will be permanent. We've been using for a few days now (on and off) and it has definitely kept him "chill," but I cannot tell if he actually LIKES it. He doesn't try to take it off and it's not too tight. I am glad we got the size S though instead of XS because any tighter would feel like choking. His covered ears are are a lot less sensitive to sound and he just seems less "on edge," if you will. Again - for now I cannot tell if is just confused, being a dramatic king, or actually in peace. I'm inclined to say peace though because he does close his eyes quite rapidly whenever we put it on. He eventually caved in to walking around and even eating a treat with it on. Incredibly loud noises though still startle him, though (but no cure for that). Seems durable for on and off use, though if your pet has nails, they can easily scratch off some threads if attempting to remove from head.

Bought for my senior cat because she has severe anxiety. She was sedated along with the happy hoody and she was an angel. I more bought it for the sake of my cats condition. She suffers from a condition (EGC) where she gets sores and she usually gets them on her neck. This was the perfect solution to stop her from itching the sores on her neck. She did scratch the hell out of it. Will def buy another if the other falls apart but very durable. Bonus she looked very regal. I didn't realize it came with a small and big size. Gifted the bigger size to family friend with a doge.
