LOUD LOUD LOUD
Only loud in the direction it points. Feel so much safer on the streets on my bike. Anyone walking whiting a block will hear and cars from a really good distance. Batteries haven’t died in 2 weeks

This horn is a LITERAL life-saver
I shopped around for WEEKS and I'm happy I bought this one.Cycling is my main source of commuting, whether for work, fun, or exercise. I live in midtown Manhattan and cycling here is a sport only for the brave or the idiotic. Bike horns (not bells) have saved my life multiple times. When my old horn fell apart (and so did its replacement...), I searched for a new one that met all my requirements. The only thing that worried me about this horn was the fact that it used standard alkaline batteries instead of being USB-rechargeable. I took a risk because it's very hard to find a product that is as loud as this one claims to be, without a bunch of extra nonsense. (I don't want a motion detector alarm! I don't want a remote control! I don't need an LED screen!) I've been using this for about a month and a half now, and have not had to replace the batteries. And trust me, I use this a LOT.I wish there were different noise settings. My old one had five different sounds you could cycle through (no pun intended). But this horn still gives you the option of a quick push (a little chirp) or a hold (piercing siren). The handlebar "remote" is very convenient and easy in an emergency traffic situation. The horn (which sounds more like a siren) is VERY loud. I don't know how to measure or estimate decibel levels, but I know this is loud as hell. This has truly saved me from some potentially horrendous accidents with drivers who do not pay attention to cyclists. I haven't really tested the waterproofness but the light exposure to rain has been fine.THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT

Good, loud horn with only a few drawbacks
After dealing with several inattentive and distracted drivers nearly hitting me on my bike even though I wear bright colored clothing and lights on my bike and helmet, I really wanted something that would get jarring attention. This horn does the trick. I love that it has two settings, one which is a very loud and piecing siren sound, great for traffic, and a lower key sound for paths and trails to get attention of pedestrians without scaring them. The horn mounted easily with no issues. I originally mounted on the left handlebar, but had some convenience issues reaching around my bell. It was no issue remounting on the right handlebar where the activation button could be mounted closer to my grip.I only have a few small gripes. I wish it had a USB-C rechargeable battery so I could easily keep it charged link my headlight and tail light. Talking to a friend who recommended it though, he noted the batteries do not need replacing that often, so it should not be too much of a problem. I also would prefer the activation button and sound change button were a little better integrated. The wires plug in at an awkward position and are not very clean looking. The activation button can be mounted close to a grip but changing the sound is on the back of the horn and not on the activation button which is a little awkward. It would be better to have to activation buttons with different shapes for tactile control. Lastly, I wish there was some mounting adjustment for the angle of the horn. I had to mount the horn on a swept back portion of my handlebar so it does not point straight out. It would be nice if there was an adjustment on the mount to account for that, but in all fairness, I don't think it affects the operation or sound of the horn.Overall it is a good loud horn and it will serve me well.

Plenty loud. Easy to place button for quick use.
Hurts your ears and cars will hear you. I mostly use my regular bell but this comes in clutch. Wish I had it long ago.Handles rough riding fine. Haven’t ridden in rain yet.

Inadequate For Use in Car Traffic
The sound is loud, but nothing like a car horn. This is important for use around cars, because nothing other than a car horn will cause the immediate reaction that might be required to stop a collision. The loud mode is like a bird chirping, and the pedestrian mode is only adequate for people without headphones.I wouldn't recommend unless it's for bike paths and the like, but at that point, a standard bike bell is friendlier, more effective, and uses no batteries.

Loud but …..
I have a huge problem on Key Largo of cars not being aware of bikes on the designated bike/walking paths. Even after making eye contact w drivers, they still pull in front of me, cutting me off. This horn is loud and gets the attention of drivers with their windows open. No car with windows closed and probably AC and music on, has reacted in any way when I use this.So slow down at all intersections and wait for a wave from drivers before entering intersections, even though you have the right of way. From an old Driver’s Ed Teacher: Right of way is given, not taken.
