I was hesitant to use this because I thought it would hurt and irritate my skin. I read a lot of epilator reviews, and there were a lot of comments about redness and pain. I've never used one before, so have nothing to compare it to, but I just used it for the first time and my skin isn't red at all. It did hurt as each hair was plucked, and I had quite a few fine hairs on my upper lip because I've never done anything but pluck the longer ones. Now my upper lip is soft and hair-free! It does still tingle a bit, but there's no redness at all. I love that it's rechargeable and is easy to hold and use. I don't know if I'll use all the attachments, but what I wanted was an effective epilator. It seems I got that with this Braun one :) Very happy with my purchase!
