The Flower Fairies Coloring Book

I really hate that someone is making money from this awful coloring book. I was so excited when I saw it because I'm a huge fan of Cicely Mary Barker's paintings of fairies. I was crushed and so very disappointed when I looked at the pages. The only part of the coloring pages that is line art from her paintings are the fairies, which are about 20% of the pages. The remaining 80% is larger copies of flowers, leaves, berries, etc. that appears in the 20% and he has just drawn them randomly around the fairies to fill up the pages. Then there are full pages of his drawings that really have nothing to do with Cicely's paintings and pages where he has combined 2 or 3 of her fairies from different paintings. The quality of the line art is not consistent throughout the book. There are quite a few drawings where the black lines are very thick. *Amazon has a coloring book that has line art of Cicely's paintings that are the exact replicas. It's called 1900’s Fairies. I just happened upon the flip through on YouTube.

What a beautiful coloring book! Nice paper and the images are printed on one side. Such lovely pictures. I definitely recommend it!

I was very pleased with the colouring book. I had purchased it at a birthday gift for my granddaughter, along with some other Cicely Mary Tyson books and she was absolutely thrilled.

Beautiful art. Calms my anxiety. Recommend to any flower lover or anyone who loves beautiful things!
