Lippincott Illustrated Reviews: Pharmacology

This is a must have for any provider that is learning medicine. It was very helpful for me when I went through PA school didactic year. It’s a little dry but what medical text isn’t. Still a great purchase.

Good book!

Good luck to any advanced pharmacology students! Class is hard this book doesn't really make it easier but it is listed as required so you'll probably buy it anyways like I did. Nothing to really say that is bad about the book, I just have a hard time learning from reading alone so I barely used it and was able to pass. I purchased rather than renting so that I could sell my textbook afterwards to try to recoup some of the costs since renting was only a little bit less than buying the book. Did I read this cover to cover? No. Will you read it cover to cover? Probably not.

This is the pharmacology bible. I’m in a masters of pharmacology program and this book has been an invaluable resource to me. My friend in medical school has also found this book to be helpful for her studies! It is organized well and it explains things well. The questions at the end of the chapter have really helped me gage my knowledge.

If you had a perfect knowledge of this book, it is extremely doubtful that you would run into anything that you couldn’t handle.
