This ohitsu is utilizing the superior characteristics of a cedar, one produced with the handmade. The rice does not spoil as easily because of its antibiotic quality and great absorption water. It preserves the rice at its perfect state because the wood lets extra water content out and keeps the right amount of water in when the rice is kept in it. Do not leave rice in overnight. Wash as soon as possible after use with warm water. Wipe dry with a cloth. Store in a dry airy place but not in direct sunlight. Do not put wood in the microwave. Enjoy the delicious rice.
