Forty-Five Wooden Boats: A Catalog of Study Plans

One of the best series of plans for dreamers and armchair boat builders. Plans may be obtained and boats actually built. I built a Catspaw Dinghy from "Fifty Wooden Boats" thirty years ago, and am presently getting ready to build an Escargot (this book). My only complaint is that scant information is presented for each design. Pictured is a page from the actual Escargot plans and the wood I'm going to use to build it.

This is a catalogue of plans for a number of plans available for the wooden boar magazine store. I really enjoy thumbing through it and dreaming about the different designs.However, all of this information is also available on the wooden boat magazine website with a lot of other plans. Nor does this book contain the full plans of these boats. Just a page or two on each with a description, a few specs and a few drawings.If you want a hard copy to flick through, I am happy to recommend this book. But don't buy it if you are just as happy going through the designs on the website.
