UNREAL!!! Works EXACTLY as stated. I ordered 4 more of these kits.
WOW! This stuff is no joke. They say it is more like welding then glue. They are not kidding. Here let me set the stage for you. Got my 6 year old son, a boy who will some day be involved in product testing (or destruction of said products), a Skylander which is a plastic figure that is about 6 inches tall and they cost about $20 a piece or more. Well 10 minutes after he opened the box he twisted this things head off "to see if it would come off". Now I need to put it back on and the other ones of these he did this same thing to never went back together... ever. The super glue would not hold at all no matter how I went about it. After the super glue dried over night as soon as anyone picked it up an applied pressure of any sort to the affected area, it would come apart again. This time I decided to search Amazon for a plastic welder thinking well... I would plastic weld this one and all the rest. Once I got a look at the price of a plastic welder, anywhere from $150 to $300 or so, I started to scroll for a lesser priced unit. Then I saw this stuff for $15 and read the listing with skepticism and disbelief, normally this kind of stuff is all hype. I am pleased as punch to write this review as this stuff really really works... just like they claim in the listing. I followed the directions (which is 2 steps). Once the areas to be bounded are clean all that has to be done is apply some of this magic stuff and flip the pen over and turn one the light aiming it at the point were the compound was applied and count to 10 (I went 20 seconds just to ensure it got enough exposure. I set it down let go and expected to see the head of the toy slowly lean to one side and then fall off like it always does with stupid glue. To may excitement and amazement the dolls head stayed right were it was, it did not budge. So I picked it up, by its head and gave it s mild shake and it did not move at all, then I did what anyone would do with the ability to return the product, I shook the hell out of this thing. I am sure the site of a 300 guy accosting a 8 ounce doll was a site to see but it happened. I am proud to report that the head is still on and going super strong, even with my now 7 year old abusing it. If you r questioning this stuff don't. The only thing you need to do aside from buy this is to think up every item that needs to be restored to before broken status. I am hoping something breaks soon so I can try this stuff out again.

It works really good for me.
This glue works really well. It holds just as well if not better than super glue. The only issue is that you must have a way to expose it to the light. This makes it not practical for any repair where light can't reach the glue. I have used other types of light activated glues and this one by far works best. I have found sanding away parts of the broken area and using this glue in the sanded area works best. It holds much better where other brands of light actived glues have failed. I liked this so much I bought some for my dad to try. It works really well on any plastic that allows any small amount of light through it. How ever I have used it successfully on non transparent plastics as well. My son broke the stock of a toy gun. I was having problems with epoxy because I had no way to keep the stock together while it dried. I placed some epoxy in the middle where light would not reach @nd then used this glue towards the outside where I could get light to reach. In 10 seconds the glue held the stock in place as the epoxy dried. It has not broke again.

Update from 4 stars to 3 and this is why ...
UPDATE 12/16/17: I"m dropping my rating to 3 stars because about a month ago I noticed washing will desolve the bond, so my food cover is falling apart again, Not sure if it ever stated not to wash or get wet in the product description, but it would have been a deal breaker for me. Perhaps, there is some fault in my part, though a sliver, its described as "plastic adhesive" and not an epoxy as I surmised.Original post:I realy like it, basically its an resin that cures with UV light , similar to the type used in windshield repair. Some epoxy comes preloaded in the pen tip and they also give you a few ounces in a bottle. I used it to repair cracks in my crisper bin and my microwave food cover. For the time and money I think its worth it. How strong is the repair? I honestly couldn't say, however, my food cover had several long cracks and it felt like it was going to fall apart on me until it repaired it and now it feels like new again. Though its clear, you can still see the repair - but that's a very minor thing to me. It feels like hard plastic when fully cured so a tip is when you cure it with the UV pen to harden it, let it sit in bright sunlight for several minutes to fully cure. I'll have more testing to do on it, but so far it worked great for me. I haven't used it on other types of plastics so perhaps other people can share on that.this product though is good for most plastics is not practical in all situations, clear and opaque plastics it seems perfect, because the UV light can penetrate for curing, but solid dark colors will only set on the surface leaving the centers uncured. This is a problem with thick and solid colored materials as I have found this through trial and error be true, for these a simple two part epoxy is best. I had to redo a repair because of this limitation, however my rating stands a 4 stars.

Use it in a day once opened?
If it was a freshly opened vial, it worked well and hardened strongly and mostly clear. It does leave a little bit of a yellowish tinge and it is slightly fluorescent under the black light. Dries to touch in seconds. Immediate strength. Hard like hardened plastic. However... it seems if the vial has been opened, even if the lid and the little plug that came to the needle has been in place to keep it air tight, and it has never even seen daylight in a hallway to have UV activate it indirectly, something happens to the fluid that causes it to cure in a mutable plasticky way....it will still hold some strength, but nowhere near a fresh vial, also, it will never fully cure and will have a rubbery texture to the joined surfaces that bends and does pick up dirt. Just knowing that and planning ahead for a project here is all that matters for me. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat understanding that its a use it or loose it in a day kind of thing once I crack the seal.
