Solid knife, small or short in stature, which could use a sharper blade
I have been foraging wild mushrooms for 30 years and have used many "mushroom" knives (standard collapsible curved blade, with brush on other end, with or without a bug tweezers), . I was looking for an extra knife, at a reasonable price, to have when the occasional friend(s) joins me on a hunt. I recently received this knife and used it today as I wanted an already sharp knife for foraging chanterelles. I am 6' 2" with reasonably large hands and I found this knife to be the smallest/shortest mushroom knife I have ever used. I will keep it for use by smaller folks (ladies, children), but I will not use it again for myself as it is just a bit too short for what I would say is the average man's hand. Lastly, I would note that the blade itself is not particularly sharp and I will probably sharpen it to hopefully make it more usable.UPDATING MY REVIEW: the scale on the knife (i.e. 0 to 4) is in centimeters.

Just a ten dollar knife
This is definitely a ten dollar knife, but I expected that when I ordered it. The handle is ok. It looks good at arms length, but a bit rough up close. The measurements on the side are in centimeter and are accurate. The brush is synthetic. Again, I expected that at the price. I can't speak on the quality of the keychain, since I have yet to use it, but it seems adequate. The blade is really where this knife falls short. Any knife marketed as a "stainless steel" blade is not going to be high quality. The grind on the blade looks like it was done by a blind man using a rasp, and it is only marginally sharper than a butter knife. I expected to have to fix the grind and sharpen the blade to my standards, so not a big deal. What I can't fix, however, is the blade centering. The blade rubs with significant friction the entire length of one liner, while being about two millimeters away from the other liner. The blade is pinned (no pivot screw) so it can't be adjusted. In the end, it is worth about ten bucks, but not more. I am a bit of a knife snob, so I may be a little biased. If you are looking to try a purpose built mushroom knife to see if you like the form factor for a low price, go for it. That's why I bought it. If you are looking for a high quality knife, take a pass. I have always harvested mushrooms with a scalpel, and will probably continue to do so.

Good knife, never pull a mushroom always cut it.
Good mushroom knife. I have both sizes. Very sharp. I’ve cut many a mushroom with these. If you’re not using a knife you’re reducing the mushroom population. Leave the foot in the ground and cut at the base. The odds of the mushroom reproduction is enhanced by doing so. Chanterelles especially require such care if you want them to come back next year. Quit being dumb and pulling them out of the ground. Buy a mushroom knife now!

small cheap knife
Can't really rate this item above "fair" I had hoped for better, but really didn't expect much. I have been shopping for quality mushrooming knives, under $20, for my mycological society. In this order, I purchased 3. This item from RUN-snail and an absolutely identical item from Wolfland are made in China. Kinda small, reasonably sharp, with a uselessly soft boar bristle brush. this would not clean the debris off most wild mushrooms. This knife is cheap but I would recommend spending a little more for quality.

and I loved this knife so much that I'll be buying one ...
I bought two of these knives as stocking stuffers for my parents who are beginning mushroom hunters. We did stockings on Friday and I ended up going hunting for hedgehog mushrooms that afternoon with my dad! It was a delightful success, and I loved this knife so much that I'll be buying one for myself now! The sharp blade works as advertised, the brush is lovely, and I used the serrated edge for removing stuck-on dirt and debris. I like to leave as much of the Forrest in the forest as possible, and I came home with a very clean bag of delectable mushrooms!

Surprisingly good quality
Being that this is a pretty inexpensive knife I was genuinely surprised at how nice it feels. The blade is very sharp and the bristles are useful for brushing off any stray substrate still on the fruit bodies.

Not a bad knife
Its clean, it's pretty sharp. When I got it there was either a couple loose bristles that weren't set properly or broke off in shipment. Also the jump ring that connects the keychain to the knife was misaligned and not totally closed. Minor and easily fixed. The box was mangled in shipping so that may have accounted for some of the issues. Should probably be shipped better than a cardboard box in a plastic envelope. At least a bubble mailer would have been nice. All in all with a little jewelry making knowledge I fixed it and it's nice enough to use. The wooden handle is smooth and undamaged.

Sturdy, well made and functional as hell!
Okay, I bought four of these. FOUR.My friends and I love them. We have since gone out mushroom hunting, used the knife and were all quite pleased with the functionality of it.The fact that this tool can cut, measure AND dust off mushies is amazing. It is a wonderful tool to take mushroom hunting. Plus it is compact and comes with a chain to attach to whatever so you don't have to carry it around or worry about it falling out of your pocket!10/10, would definitely buy again.
