Slightly vegetal aroma
I’m very impressed with the Greenwood Essential oils. They need to be blended with a carrier oil and not put directly on the skin. The tiny vials come with a dropper that must be inserted after the product is opened. This is kind of a pain and not an easy task for someone like me with “old” hands but I got it to work and find it a good shipping practice for the company. There surely won’t be complaints about leakage.I also like the amount of information that is included on each label. There is a sticker that give the plant extraction, the batch number, the date packaged and the expiration date. There is no way you’re going to get an old product. The oils I’ve tried are Basil (this has a fresh vegetal aroma), Moroccan Argon (I found this scent very light), Bergamot (my favorite – this smells distinctly of limes), Melissa (fresh and clean, this is lemony. As one other reviewer said “it smells like lemon Pledge), Apricot Kernel (this one surprised me. I couldn’t identify the aroma but I got an urge for a slice of peach pie).I like to put drops of essential oils on a cotton ball and tuck into corners. These, to me, seem like quality products.

Nice Oil - Lots of Uses
This is a good quality basil essential oil. Label claims it is 100% natural - no way to verify & unfortunately not organic.I use in a diffuser, mixed with eucalyptus and peppermint, to help clear up congestion from allergies. Works pretty well, so I am happy. Look to mix with baking soda and make "shower soothers" to help wake me up clear as well!Have tried mixing with grapeseed oil for my son to use on his acne. Not been successful with this treatment but will keep trying. One disappointment I have with Greenwood Essentials oils is that their bottles ship with the inner dropper separate from the bottle itself, and I have to put it in myself. I am annoyed by that and wish they would change their packaging.

Perfect quality essential oil
Perfect quality small 15ml bottle of essential oil, the basil scent is accurate and very strong. Comes in a sealed box and has an anti-tamper seal on the lid. Comes with an optional dropper cap which is quick and easy to install. I use a few drops in my diffuser and smells great, i’m not keen on this basil on its own but is great blended with citrus oils like lime and mandarin. You also really don’t need much of basil either, it is more of a complimenting scent. This is perfectly good essential oil although the current price of just under £10 (at the time of writing this review) for this 15ml bottle is too expensive, this brand has larger bottles available offering much better value.

A sweet Basil scent - the dropper aspect comes separately
This oil is nice enough – it smells more of a very, very sweet basil – which is fine – but I was hoping for a pure earthy basil plant smell. Maybe this is what Basil EO always smells like. I have many other essential oils over the years but have never tried Basil before. Either way it is pleasant in my diffuser and a little really does go a long way. I added three drops but next time I will only add one.The thing I do not like is that the dropper part of the bottle comes in the package separately. No matter how hard I tried I can not get the dropper to stay permanently in the bottle (no matter how much pressure I exert) and I can not close the cap with it not all the way snapped in. Maybe I am supposed to remove it each time – it makes no sense. If you found my review helpful, why not click the “helpful” button. Thanks! Enjoy your day! : )

Not sure
This does not smell like any Basil I know of and certainly not like the one I already have. It smells more like Aniseed. Certainly there are a great many varieties of Basil (Genovese, Thai, Holy, Cinnamon, Lemon etc.), but this is supposed to be the conventional 'sweet' Basil.Generally, I like Greenwood Essential products as they are well made and have an enormous variety I have not seen anywhere else. Their base oils are always expensive though. However, in this case, I am rather wary of what is being offered.
