Fortified City Commuter Theft-Resistant Single Speed Bike (Large (58cm))

I knew I'd like this bike from the minute I picked up the box. I literally couldn't believe how light it was. Of course, the light frame made me scepticle. How tough could this thing really be?Let's fast forward a few months...I live in New Orleans, and I prefer to use a bycicle as my primary form of transportation. For those of you who have never been on New Orleans, the streets are somewhere between the surface of the moon and the Beaches of Normandy circa June 1944... completely insane!Needless to say, previous bycicles I have owned haven't faired to well. Breaks have fallen apart, wheels bent, frames rattled beyond repair, I'd just about given up.And now here I am, beating the life out of my brand spankin' new fortified bike, and it continues to hold strong. Needless to say, I'm beyond happy with my purchase.If you're looking for a great bike that can take some abuse, do yourself a favor and not that "Buy Now" button, because this one is as good as it gets.*Side Note: I was on my way to work a few weeks ago, and somebody opened their car door right as I was riding past them at full speed. Bike is fine, but the door didn't make it...

This bike was an unexpected gift from my daughter and son-in-law for my Birthday and Christmas after telling them I intended to buy one during the Black Friday sales. They've earned massive brownie points with this purchase.I haven't had a chance to ride my bike yet, but if it rides like the experience that I've already had with Fortified then I think I'll remain extremely impressed.The bike arrived 4 days after ordering even allowing for the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was a breeze to assemble (I am mechanically minded).The matt black finish on the bike adds to the wow factor.I had an issue with the rear tire tube having a hole in it so I sent an email to Fortified customer service and within 20 hours I had an email reply and a package delivered with 2 new tire tubes, rim tape, tire lever and instructions. I thought "wow" thats impressive.Now for the New York weather to improve so I can go for a ride.

This is a great bike. I had always wanted a low-maintenance, high-performing bike. After doing a bit of research, I luckily came across this company and I couldn’t be more happy. The bike was very easy to assemble with the video instructions. It is lightweight, well-built and I love it’s theft-proof design. The company has also been extremely responsive when I had a couple questions.

I have been riding this bike to work for more than 6 months now. It is 8 or 9 miles each way, depending on what route I take. I put full fenders on it, and a rear rack and bags. One of the reasons that I chose this bike was that it has the mounts for a rear rack. The bike handles well, even with all the weight I cram into the bags. I like the single speed, it keeps things simple. The only maintenance I have had to do so far was cleaning and greasing the bottom bracket, and that is only because for most of the summer I was riding a stretch of sandy gravel road (which the bike did fine on, even in pouring rain). It is a fun bike to zip around on.

I first came across a Fortified bike when I worked at my old job Homer Logistics where we had an entire fleet of fortified bikes and When I first rode a fortified bike i was blown away it was nothing like other bikes. One thing I love about the fortified bike is that they're durable and can actually take a beating. I was struck by a car on my forified bike and all it had was a dent in it unlike other bikes that would have fell apart. I love how fortified bikes are theft proof like when I say they are theft proof they are. A theif can't take anything off of the bike without the fortified tools. I would highly recommend this bike to others.

Hello I am from Chicago!! I bought this bike in March 2017 and I am so happy I bought it. It's an ideal bike for the city. It super light and fun to assemble. Atleast 10 random people have asked me and complemented me about my bike. A big bike shop owner estimated a value of $700-$800 for a bike of this kind. I would highly recommend everyone to buy this bike. Also their customer service is really good, very impressed by them.I would recommend to buy their insurance or protection against theft plan. It gives me peace of mind when I lock my bike on the street.

5 Stars for Fortified Customer Service. Unfortunately the Small size bike did not fit my short lil' legs. Fortified worked with me on a return even though I was over the 30 days and had already thrown out the packaging. Take note of the height of bike and make sure to measure your inseam to ankle - don't go just by height ranges.

Awesome bike that we purchased for our college bound son. Highly recommend getting the insurance since the bike is a head turner.The staff is always fast to respond to emails and always friendly.
