Us Military Original Extreme Cold Weather Parka Water Repellent Large New N-3b

I am a size 12 women but can never find a woman's parka that's warm enough, has long enough sleeves, or enough pockets for walking my dog without needing a bag hanging over my shoulder. I had a boyfriend in 1972 who had just returned from Vietnam. He had one of these he used to loan me for bird watching in chilly Rochester, NY winters. It was slightly different with a soft nylon inner and shell, making it easier to slip on and off when wearing a sweater. The fur on the hood was rea and it was a lighter weight (though no less warm) in weight. This one is cotton inside and out but has wonderful pockets, nice long sleeves and it's warm as can be. I got large because that's all that's all that was available. It's a little roomy and a bit heavy but works great for my purposes

I found one of these almost 20 years ago before moving into the mountains. It was a Expedition Extreme Cold Weather Parka and none I looked up said that. I guess it's the same thing as far as I can tell. Can use a liner with it if need but really not necessary. If want really good coat for real winter, this is it.

I bought a large size, but by American standards it is actually a medium size. It fits tight. A winter jacket should fit loose so that you can layer a sweater underneath. I will keep it as an emergency jacket for my car. If you buy one, I suggest you step up one size to order.

This item shipped FAST! I'm stationed overseas and wasn't expecting it for at least 3 more weeks. The coat is very comfortable and warm. It's a little on the heavier side but that doesn't bother me at all.

After an exceptionally cold winter last year, I wanted the warmest parka and at a good price. Maybe not the most fashionable, but this is an awesome parka. Only negative is it's a bit heavy, but that's just nit picking.

The first one I ordered was a medium (too small) I gave it to my son, who LOVES it. I got another one, in large and I love mine too.

Brand new very nice had one years ago and after last winter got tired of putting on 2 sweatshirts and coat to walk dog this solves that problem.
