Did not work
I read all of the reviews about this memory card reader and decided that it was exactly what I was looking for in a combination charging cable and data storage device. The device arrived quickly, but did not work. I tried it on two different iPhones and two different iPads. I continuously got a prompt that the iUSB was not connected. Had to return it.

This card reader is a clever idea which actually works ...
This card reader is a clever idea which actually works. The reason I write this review is because I was at first confused about how to use it. I wanted to copy some videos from a memory card to my iPhone but there was only one destination supported and my preferred video player (VLC) could not find it. I finally realized that the iUSB app you use with the card reader is also how you play a video. It even has subtitle support. So this product meets my needs in that regard. I am not sure how versatile it is with regard to other types of files but movies are the main thing that I cared about.

Works on new iPad Air!
I bought the latest iPad Air (2019) a couple weeks ago, but just got the 64GB version. I already had a 128GB micro SD card, so I figured that would be fine if I could just get something for the iPad that could read it. I tried 2 other devices though, and both would let the card be read on a computer but not the iPad. I was going to give up if this didn't work, but fortunately it handles everything perfectly. I can see all my files on the iPad, and it even plays video files directly in the app. The SD card fits into the USB port so it doesn't take up any space, and you can plug that end into a powered port to charge the device while you access the card.
