As received, looks like it was shelved for a long time and endured higher temperatures during storage because I struggled a lot to peel off the protective film when trying to stick.

I purchased a self stick toilet paper holder. I believe it had a popular adhesive to use. That only held for a few months so I looked for another option and found this one. So far it seems to be holding well. I hope it outlasts me because I’m sure it will be most difficult to clean off the adhesive to reattach the holder. I will update this review if need be.

I have some stainless rocker panels and 3" wide body side molding that I put on my Tahoe at least ten years ago. The rocker panels (wide, wide, tape) is still going strong but the body moldings finally started to sag and fall off. One of the questions in the review is 'easy to remove'. Isn't the point being its not easy to remove?I had to take the old adhesive from the car body and from the old molding. Isopropyl alcochol is the solvent. I wet a sock and fixed it to the car to let it soak. I had to scrape it with a putty knife and finally used a wire brush to remove the residue. Of course, this roughed up the paint but its not going to show. Mark a line where you want to stick stuff as realignment is not easy. Get it right the first time.

This stuff works well, and has passed the test on several materials I tried it on. Some minor annoyances are, it's a bit hard to peel the backing because it sticks to it pretty tightly, it takes several days for it to reach full strength*. and it's a little thick. I would like it to be around .010 thinner to eliminate some of the dark tape line.*The bond is plenty strong from day 1, but gets super strong as the weeks go by. Recommended!
