Red 24 LED 12V Auomotive Car High Mount 3rd Brake light Stop Tail Light Lamp

As usual, delivery was quick. Installation was straight forward...no issues. Replaced a non-working 23 year old OEM part. Now have a very bright third rear brake light.

I needed a temporary CHMSL on my Astro truck topper for a road trip while I waited for the factory replacement to arrive. This light is working out fine. It won't quite fit where the original wedge shaped light "AT-36-24" sits, but I was able to Zip-tie it into place at a sufficient angle of view. Some complaints I read about this PerfecTech Red 24 LED 12V Automotive light strip was that it wasn't very bright. While it is somewhat dimmer than more expensive lights, I found the brightness depends on the view angle. I noticed the brightest view was not straight on. The circuit board appeared to be at a slight angle in behind the lens. Where mine was temporarily mounted, I could adjust the angle so the brightest view was directed at a following car's driver position. Then it appeared brighter than the regular tail/brake lights. Of course drivers of taller vehicles would still see a somewhat dimmer light. It is a symmetrical shaped housing so you might find that flipping the unit over can provide a brighter view for a following driver. The price isless than 1/4 the of the actual replacement unit, and it was actually in an attractive package that I could have fenagled into a permanent mount without too much trouble. I will probably repurpose this light on a trailer once I install the topper's original replacement. It is a pretty good value, and is working great for me.

I was irritated that I had to go to the hardware store to get mounting screws. Most things like this include the hardware. That's my only complaint. For those who think the wiring is reversed please look up RV wiring. The colors are a match. I believe the colors of vehicles and add-on's should match too, Apparently someone doesn't and they won the argument.

Compact and easy to mount and wire. Not overly bright, but more than enough to be seen.

This product is a cheaply made. It did not work at all, and the measurements shown, are not correct. I wish I would have tested it before I installed it on my camper shell. It's frustrating to buy something with poor quality control.

I had one unit that I fully installed only to find it did not work. I got a replacement and it worked on the bench but after I installed it, it would not work. This must be very delicate internally. I did not abuse it at install and only used two small screws in the holes made for mounting. I used spacers to not stress the center where the wires come out. This is junk and I am going with something else....UPDATE: This unit works but WIRING IS BACKWARD! Red is negative and black is positive!

I used it for a custom install on an older car. It looks good and works very well for extra safety when stopping abtrptly.

Nice bright lights should be seem easily. Though my light bar came with out installation hardware I had some nuts and bolts to facilitate install .

The media could not be loaded. Works perfect. Added some sealant to help keep moisture out. Ez to install. Drill 2 holes add screws to the cap of truck, seal=dunzo.

Works well but could be a little brighter. Be aware, the wiring is reversed. You need to splice and reverse the wires.

So this didn't come with instructions at all.It has a connection for a 4 pin, plug it in, doesn't work. You figure out the wires are backwards from the comments, you cut the ends to hardwire it correctly to your 4 pin plug, no dice.So, you need to wire this directly to your existing lights which if you don't know what you're doing, can confuse the hell outta you and be dangerous.Also, why the 4 pin plug if it doesn't work?
