Powerful and sturdy
I bought this pump so my kids can play in their backyard pond. It pushes a lot of water and it does not get stuck with debris, even though the kids put in a lot of dirt, sand and wood chips as they play.I recommended it.

It’s a work horse!
I’ve had my pond up and running for 3 months now. This thing is amazing. Zero clogs, awesome water flow. I have it attached to the Tetra waterfall with a 1” reinforced tube that I bought at Lowe’s. I also bought clamps to keep the pipe on there, and they really are necessary. They do not come with this pump but are very inexpensive. One important note: I would recommend putting a fabric cage around it if you’ve got fish. One of my rosy minnows got sucked into the plastic cage that’s built into it. Luckily, I saw it and was able to get it out before it died.

Metric plumbing a negative
Good pump - very dependable and easy to work on. However, metric plumbing connections makes it hard to adapt to available U.S. tubing and fittings. The available corrugated plastic tube usually used in weak and prone to failure.

quality pump at an affordable price
This pump worked well from the moment it was installed. The cord length was more than adequate to reach the outlet providing power and to conceal in the landscaping to reduce cord visibility. This pump is similar to units I purchased in the past from the big box stores that were nearly double the price. Thank you Amazon for a speedy delivery.

I like
This pump is working quite well for me. I used it to replace a 900 gph (give or take 50 gph) pump that I was using to power a small waterfall in my pond. This pump fit the bill quite well. The intake screen comes off and reveals a female threaded intake nozzle. I was able to attach a 1" threaded x 1" insert PVC connector to connect my 1" intake line (coming from a skimmer with a large particle filter) to the intake of the pump. I used the same type of connector to go from the outlet end to my existing 1" flexible pond tubing (also a Tetra Pond product) to the waterfall (again, Tetra Pond). The waterfall advises using a pump between 1000 and 2000 gph, and this pump does a nice job keeping a good flow of water running whereas the smaller, older pump just wasn't meeting my expectations. As mentioned above, I plumbed into 1" tubing (inlet and outlet), and everything seems to be working just fine. If you choose to do this, keep in mind that you will experience a reduced flow rate because of the increased velocity and friction because of the smaller pipe. I was satisfied with the flow rate in my setup, but YMMV.I have had this running nonstop for only a few weeks so everything is still working as expected. If this changes, I will return to update my review accordingly and describe my warranty experience.

It is working superb
This is a replacement. The one before was dismantled because the dog stepped on it. The flow is great. The price was great for my pocket. Overall everything about this pump was well thoughout and put together. No negative issues

Reliable
I had this for 10 years and still going with limited maintenance. I used on a timer that shuts it off at night. The flow decreased over time, but still a great purchase.
