Useful adapters for Hue light strip
I was struggling to figure out how to cut and join multiple Hue light strips.... until I found these adapters. Easy to install (note - watch the video before attempting to use) and work well.

Expensive but does exactly what is supposed to
Very expensive for what it is but is well made and does the job

Be patient with the preparation... and use long nose pliers to clamp down on the connector.
Bought these (along with some 'RJ45 Ethernet Cable Adapters') to split Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus around the kitchen. I was a bit dubious (and nervous) at the thought of chopping up a relatively expensive light strip at first... but if you take your time trimming the Hue Lightstrip's rubber surround, cutting across the solder (NOT the actual demarked cutline), lifting the connecting pins on the connector and locating the soldered edge under them (a little fiddly, as the Hue bare strip width only just fits)... and then finally clamping down on the lid with a decent pair of long nosed pliers, you can't go wrong. Make sure all the PHILIPS logos are all the same way up when you connect them all together... and you will feel a definitive sense of delight (and relief) when it all lights up when you plug it in. You even get more confident with it all after a couple of goes (I've done quite a few now with no problems)... but key is to plan, be patient with all the preparation, definitely cut across the solder (again, NOT the actual demarked cutline - you're essentially cutting the solder blobs in half so make sure you have a decent pair of scissors) and employ the power of the pliers on those connectors. Sorted!

Easy to use
Needed to connect light wires

Overpriced, but does the job.
These clips are overpriced for such a simple bit of plastic and nearly cost as much as actual Philips lightstrip extension. They do work, and have the benefit of not using electricity once installed, that's about it.

Terrible Terrible Product, broke my Phillips Light Strip
A terrible product. I bought these to connect the cut ends on two light strips. One worked with some force to close the catch as the light strip is too wide for the connector by a mm or so and there are NO instructions to show whether the connectors meet the top or the bottom side of the connectors on the strip. And the second has blown the Phillips light strip controller! I assume the connectors have bridged two the terminals on the light strip and now the light has one LED permanently on when you switch it off. I cant understand how this can be avoided as the connection are made in the white connector block and have to be forced closed so you have no way of telling if you've connected correctly or bridged the terminals other then to turn it on and then if you have bridged them it's to late. Your whole light strip is going in the bin. You think the connectors are expensive, wait until they write off your light strip! Terrible and should NOT be advertised as "Phillips Compatible"!

Nice product for custom installations
A neat little product for connecting cut ends of strip lights together in custom installations. Follow the instructions and you get a reliable termination of the cut end. Easy to fit and neat & tidy.

They do work but fiddly
Ok firstly do they work? Yes. They took a bit of fiddling around with and the instructions (sorry i mean lack of instructions) certainly didn't help! If you have already cut your lightstrip to length on the cut mark then DO NOT BUY THESE as they simply wont work as you need to cut right through the silver connections (tricky enough as they are really narrow) just after the cut mark so you have 2 pieces of lightstrip with connections on each end. Then you need to slice the plastic sheathing and peel it back to expose the metal connection you have just cut through. This is where it gets fiddly, you then need to "lift" all the metal pins in the snap connector and "persuade" the cut end underneath before closing the snap connector bringing the pins down on top and making the connection complete. I would of given them 5 stars but lack of detailed instructions means a four only

Werkt perfect!

I went back and forth between these and a soldering solution. I was skeptical of these with all of the reviews about people having connection problems however, I cannot stress enough that these connectors DO work and DO create a tight connection if you do it properly. The problem I think is the instructions do not give enough info. At my first attempt I thought the reviews were true but what you need to realize is how far into the connector end the light strip is supposed to go, once I noticed that I realized I was not getting the strip in far enough and was getting the results so many do, a wobbly inconsistent connection. What you need to do: The tool they give works to lift up the silver connectors, be sure to lift them up far, so they are at LEAST as tall as the side channels where the strip slides in. Once you do that and after trimming the silicone back on the light strip, slide the light strip in and it was almost click into place and (VERY IMPORTANT) the solder bumps WILL be completely under the silver connectors, if they're not, you aren't in far enough, make sure the silver connectors are bent up enough. Then close the flap with the help of some pliers to clip it closed. Test with a multi-meter to make sure you're getting connectivity all the way through on each lead, you don't want to power it up without having all 6 leads connected. Saved me so much time as opposed to having to solder each connection point.

Buen sistema para utilizar los cortes de las tiras led Hue, en las instrucciones faltaría agregar quese deben de conectar respectando el orden de los cables (si el conector está volteado la tira led no enciende)

Expensive for what they are, but could not find an alternative that fit my V4 on AliExpress. A lot easier than soldering the tiny pads, that's for sure. I recommend testing the connections with a multimeter.
