very nice
One of the jars was broken on arrival but Amazon refunded me the money. a great jar for Kombucha, works well, my scoby likes it, grew twice its size in 3 weeks and the tea tastes great. very handy!

Great for brewing
These work great for brewing & flavoring Kombucha. By getting a 2 pack, I have one dedicated to brewing, and the other dedicate to flavoring it batch by batch. The only thing missing is a pour spout - but I have bad luck with those leaking.

Okay Kombucha Jars ????
Nice one-gallon jars ---- glad I bought 'em, for they're SOMEWHAT useful for the purpose of making kombucha -- if you want to make up an odd sized lot of the beverage. HOWEVER, because they are exactly 1 gallon each in size......THEY DO NOT MAKE A GALLON OF KOMBUCHA.........only 3/4ths of a gallon, whatever the ad implies. I should have bought the 1 1/4gallon or 1 1/2gallon size jars! With these gallon jars, again, you can only make up 3/4ths of a standard recipe. I intend to buy larger jars for making up my kombucha - and will reserve THESE gallon jars to be "kombucha hotels" for resting SCOBYs. My mistake! In summary: I do NOT recommend this size if your goal is to make a gallon of kombucha at a time, tho' they're great, of course, for other purposes. Fairly priced, and came quickly, and well packaged.

Excellent jars for brewing kombucha -- reasonably priced too!
These jars arrived in perfect shape and were put to use right away. I was somewhat uncertain about the simple muslin covers with elastic bands holding them in place, but they work just fine to keep anything out of the kombucha that shouldn't be in there. These jars have been working great to brew kombucha ever since I purchased them and they clean up beautifully also. With what kombucha costs in a grocery store, it only makes sense to brew one's own.

Gods quality, nice to have lid and breathe able cloth included. If they were thicker it be 5 stars.
