Admetior Advance Oven Thermometer

Bought thermometer to check accuracy of my oven. The thermometer showed that the oven set at 400 gegrees was only actually 340 degrees. I then tested the thermometer in another oven and it again showed about the same difference. Hard to believe two ovens are equally incorrect, it has to be a faulty thermometer.

Nice size. Works fine but is not very convenient when moving the oven racks around - a conceptual shortcoming rather than a quality problem.

After reading reviews about many different brands of oven thermometers, it seems none are really accurate (most are garbage) but the brand, Admetior had good reviews. This model however did not have an reviews but due to the size of the dial (nice and large) I decided to give it a try. Well, to my pleasant surprise the thermometer is very accurate or somehow communicates with my over so they both agree on the temperature to show (humor at it's poorest .. <LOL>)I tested the unit at 3 oven temps, 350, 375 and 400 degrees and within 3 minutes, it matched 350 degrees (from cold oven) and within 1.5 minutes the other two temps. I give this thermometer a thumbs up!

I bought three different thermometers and placed them all in the middle of the oven set at 400 deg F. Two of them indicated close to 400, but this one was off by more than 50 deg F. I threw this one out...and consider it junk and a waste of (very little) money.
