Got the oil in today and put a couple of drops on each flip flop and a hair tie which I put on my wrist. Spilled a couple of drops on the floor but cleaned it right up and headed out with my dog honey to play ball which is her favorite evening activity. She would barely play at all which is very strange and even being outside the smell was extremely strong. Walked in the house to take the band off my arm and the entire house smelled so strong of citronella I thought I would be sick. I put the bottle in a ziplock bag and put the band on the back porch. On the bright side I only got one mosquito bite and I’m normally just covered in them and the back porch has been mosquito free all evening just from the hair tie sitting outside. Overall it’s a good product but I may have only needed 1 drop instead of saturating my flip flops and hair tie in it.

I have created by own bug repellent with this stuff. I do wetland research in the Lowcountry of the Carolinas and Georgia and was tired of the gnats biting me so I put two drops of this in a carrier oil (mix of shea butter and another oil) and it seems to work pretty well. It works better on my face and neck than my hands for some reason, but I'll take what I can get. As long as I don't end up with a line of bug bites where my hat sits I'm happy. With how big the bottle is I'd imagine this will last me a while.

Smells good and it works.I put a couple of drops in a Mason jar with 3 slices of lemons & a floating candle. It had a strong, pleasant, lemony smell before lighting the floating candle. I was able to enjoy my patio without Louisiana mosquitoes. That's big! Lol ( still early in the season though). I'll be ordering more. I love the smell. Updating review when the big buggers come out.

I’ll still use it. But know if you use it and say go to bed within a few hours, citronella is so strong it’ll make your sheets stink till you wash them. And kind of pungently enough where you can’t stand it. Like the mosquitos ;)KEEP THE SFREW TOP LID!! It’s so stinky! I’d thrown my cap out because you use the dropper to mix it, but the rubber stopper allows the scent through BIG TIME. My cooling packs and arm sling which I stored it next to now stink is the stuff. No, no leaks nor liquid even got on the other stuff, JUST BEING. EAR THEM did it! One ice pack I can’t get rid of it after soaking and soaping and scrubbing and even fabreezing (which gets rid of everything!) I bagged it TWICE in two ziplocks and it STILL stunk of the cupboard it was in AND the alcove area where the cupboard is in!! Jesus! It stinks lol. Now I’m writing the seller to ask for a top. It’s not a standard size.It does seems to work. I put a bit of cypress or teal oil in too to make the smell infinitely nicer.

We use several drops of this essential oil in a bucket of water and white vinegar when mopping both our indoor and outdoor tiled flooring and washing down the top rails our outside railings. Reduces ants and mosquitos and smells very pleasant.
