The Action Bible: Heroes and Villains

This book is a great way to get your young one involved and interested in the stories of the Bible. My son is 11 and he loves the idea of the good guys and the bad guys. This book shows that in an interesting way. The fact that this is something that actually happened and talks about people he hears about in church really helps him connect the dots. The pictures are great and not graphic. It’s something that anyone can learn something from. Sometimes these books teach adults things too as the Bible can be difficult to decipher. Great Christmas idea!

Perfect for kids! A way to get them started learning about our Lord and Savior! My kids actually look forward to their bed time stories and have started asking the type of questions I would expect of a young Christian!

The whole family loves this book! We even had a bible character night with our small group at church and I brought it. Other families want it for themselves and their kids (most of the kids are over 8 years old). Most of the other families have the other Action Bible so this was an easy win for them, too. The illustrations are real nice and cool to look at with older kids since most bibles with pictures are very soft. I love the little details like John the Baptist wore camel-hair clothing. I also heard he might have eaten bugs. It might be more graphic for kids under 10 or 8 since it does have Jezebel's story about her death and dogs eating everything but her skull, feet, and hands. My boys love these books and spend a lot of time reading them. I really appreciate that they present Bible stories in a format that's both engaging and easy for them to understand. It’s a great way to encourage reading while also reinforcing faith. I would definitely recommend these for boys ages 8–12!

Purchased this book to go with the Action Bible that we were already utilizing with our kids (7 and 9). They have thoroughly enjoyed these books and they honestly have been beneficial in assisting our children, our family, in studying God’s word. Additionally, the artwork/drawings are engaging and appropriate.

Bought for a 11 year-old Catholic boy who loves pictures with his reading material. Says it keeps him interested.
