LEGOCreator Expert 10244 Fairground Mixer

Would have 5 stars if all the pieces were included. Our set was missing several pieces that Lego will be sending. The process is straight forward to order the missing pieces through Lego but you have to go through the instruction book and identify each part that is missing. This is time consuming and then you must wait 2-3 weeks to get the pieces to complete the set. Not fun when your son is really excited to get it put together for his birthday. Our set is missing pieces from the bags labeled "2" that put together the trailer the mixer sits on.This being said, the set is really cool. My son plays with the other components and is very happy with what he has. All my kids love Lego and the components we have are not too difficult for my 10 year old to put together. It will be fun to get the ride mounted to the trailer to see it spin.

It is one our more fun to build models. It works well too and is a good companion to the coaster.

This set is fabulous. It does take a while to build, and one must be very careful when building the gears and such, but once it is complete - well wow! My grandson is a lego-officiendo, and it was hard to find a set that would surprise and delight him. This was it! The set has lots of great minifigures (including kids, which is great) to boot. Everything fits into two compact trucks, so it looks really cool when stored. I like it that when the set is stored,, there are no dangling parts like in many other sets. My grandson has lots of fun bringing the trucks out and setting up the fairground, and I have fun putting them all away cause everything fits together in such a cool way. Super awesome set! A caveat: this set would have been far too complicated for a 7 year old to build, so unless your little one is very very precocious, expect to spend at least two good nights building with legos!

I have gotten the Lego building bug at the age of 53. The only real grip I have is the stickers, for I can't stand putting stickers on the parts. I always seem to get them crooked. I have been noticed people complaining about parts missing in their reviews. I have a tip that might help out anyone in the future buying a Lego Creative Set and that is when you open the bags of parts don't throw the empty bags out, but put the empty bags in the box that the set came in. I know this has saved my bacon not just once, but twice now on two separate builds. I thought I was missing some parts on two separate builds (Ferris Wheel and Fairground Mixer), but when I went through the empty bags the missing part was clinging inside the not so empty bag.

This is a good set if you like Technic. For a Creator fan like me, this Creator set doesn't go well with the rest of my Creator sets. If you like to build stationary models for display, this is not for you. This set is geared toward play rather than as a collector set.If you are a collector think twice about this set.If you have children and like to role play together I highly recommend this set.I enjoyed the intricacy of building the carousel. One little motor made everything spin. It's wonderful for teaching your children the basics of mechanics.
