I got over 10 years of service from my nexgen welding for a living. This lens took a beating day in and day out. Dropped it off buildings and the bench countless times. Can't lose with this one. I'm about to get another and pass this one on to my son who's just learning to weld.

I purchased this helmet before taking a welding class and it worked wonderfully. Fast forward, I had not used the helmet in about three years after taking a class, I took it out to use it and when I gave the head strap it's very first crank the whole back piece fell apart. The plastic cracked apart like it was 20 years old. Understanding that this was out of warranty, I contacted customer service anyway because the helmet had probably been used for only a couple hours total during the class I took. Unfortunately, they were not able to help me out. I bought a more expensive reputable brand expecting this to last decades knowing that I might use it once or twice a year. Keep this in mind if you're someone like me. If you use this helmet everyday for work, maybe it is acceptable because you might wear it out before it breaks.
