A perfect Bread Slicer
This is a very nice wooden bread holder for slicing a loaf of our homemade bread. We don't eat store bought bread anymore and this slicer is perfect for our whole family with no more slipping frames and cut fingers in our house! It is very easy to use and clean out crumbs. I wish that I had bought one years ago. Expensive but well worth it.

Best thing sinceā¦
Very easy to use, three different slice thicknesses available, and the knife seems to be decent quality, though it could be a couple inches longer to enable a bit better usability when slicing through a crusty loaf.

Nice product!
OK I love this bread cutting guide! My son helped me figure it out lol I went to use it and it wouldn't cut all the way to the bottom of the bread. Turns out you had to flip the guides around. They have a little locking mechanism where you pull the sides outand then twist them around. I read someone in the reviews they returned theirs because of it, not knowing. There aren't instructions that I saw so I'm not surprised. The knife isn't very sharp but I liked how it attached to the side of the crumb tray so I got it. Figured I could have it sharpened at some point. All in all, I really like it!!

I think it's better then nothing
Well I bought it because it advertised non slip feet/pads, and yes there are little feet but they do not hold the thing still for me at all. The box it comes in looks pretty nice for a cardboard box but it's glued down really tightly and I struggled to open it. As other reviewers have mentioned, the slots are too short, and in my opinion, the knife is too short. It is as long as the slots but I'm constantly moving out of the back slot when cutting, possibly exacerbated by the fact the whole device moves around. I also experience the "too wide for the loaf" issue, so basically everything moves around when I cut: the device, the loaf, and the included knife doesn't stay in the slots. Obviously it's better for the device to be too wide for the loaf rather than too narrow but it does get annoying when you're trying to cut sandwich slices, rather than general snacks. My slices tend to look pretty mangled (recipe and time out of the oven may impact how mangled but I believe the knife is also a key component). I did not notice any off-putting odors upon opening the box, which is always a concern with kitchen equipment. (I don't like/want my kitchen to smell like glue or chemicals). The magnet for the knife is adequate and I like the way it folds up with the knife attached. I often use my own, longer knife, which does improve the slice appearance/uniformity, but sadly has a plastic handle so doesn't work with the magnet (and the knife is too long for the spot anyway). I *think* the device helps with slicing slightly, but overall not very impressed and think I overpaid ($24 with knife). The nonslip feet could definitely be better and if I were repurchasing I would probably go with the version without the knife.

I'm still on the fence with this one!
I'm still on the fence with this one! It does scratch very easily, so you have to be careful when your knife gets to the bottom. You have to be careful as the knife goes down to make sure you're not cutting the guides as well. I'm going to get a cheap cheap light weight cutting board or mat and cut it down to fit the bottom to keep from scratching it up. It will have to cut three different sizes depending on what width I end up using. I'm thinking that should work great, we will find out soon. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is not high enough for some of the bread I make in the bread machine, so you are guessing and hoping that you start the cut in the right place. Well, you usually are not! My cuts on my tall loaf came out very very uneven. Still trying different ways of cutting the tall ones. I wish the guides were a little tighter in the groves they set in, would make it a little easier to hold the bread and not move back and forth to much. I like the sturdiness for the most part. I like how it comes apart and stores in the tray, fits right on top of my bread machine for storage. Nice looking, but still trying to like it.

For sourdough bread it just was too much of a struggle to use
Well the knife that came with it was too short and didn't cut straight so it would alway cut at an angle and ended up gouging the wood. Also the knife was too short and would come out of the slot on the other side. You had to make short 1 inch strokes to get it to work, for sourdough bread it just was too much of a struggle to use. Its a bit of a bummer, I had high hopes. Im sending it back.

Works Perfect
Started making my own bread at home and so I picked up this handy dandy bread slicer. Perfectly slices each section evenly, holds it in place and collapses for storage. Love It!
