This book was bought new for a Christmas present, but it arrived with a stamp in it from Cornell's library and marks around quotes in the book.

Fine reprint of this classic translation of Vitruvius
This is perhaps the standard translation of Vitruvius in a handsome edition with very good quality. Recommended

Readable translation for contemporary Americans
I found the translation, done by a Harvard professor just before WW I, to be the easiest to understand. I also found the illustrations done by the translator to be very good and useful for comparison. A pity he didn't live long enough to complete the illustrations for the remainder of the book. Some of the illustrations aren't real clear in the paperback version, so a serious student might want to consider the hard-cover version of the same translation.

Looked like a scan from another book
For a hard bound book I was expecting better quality. The book itself was a direct scan from someone else's copy.

Not readable
The book had problems downloading and it would open with the cover page fine while the rest of the book turned out with blank pages. Wasn’t able to fix this problem…

1st Impression
Ordered twice before being made aware that book does not come with dust jacket...Big disappointment...Have not as yet read same.
